Happy New Year! Excited to announce that the Play Lottery is BACK for 2026.

Our next performance of a randomly-selected play will be CONSENT AND OTHER C WORDS by Mikey Jackson, performing on Sat 31 January at the Libra Theatre in Camden

After flirting with former schoolfriend Tia in a nightclub, Jaden's drink is spiked, but when he recovers from his drugged state, he is shocked to find Tia has had s*x with him.

Starring Kishan Khambaita as Jaden and Maya Loveday as Tia

On Sat 31 we will present a script-in-hand reading of this new drama, then we will randomly select the next play, which will be staged on Wed 18 March

Our next Play Lottery is on Wednesday!

We will be performing A KNOCK ON THE DOOR, a spooky mystery play written by Michael Noonan, debuting at the Libra in Camden after being randomly selected at our last Lottery.

And then we'll choose the Play which we'll stage in October, again completely at random and in front of a LIVE audience... I'm trying to up the ante on how we choose the play each month, and let's just say for this one I've had to buy some tools from a hardware store...

Just a week left to submit your script to the Play Lottery!

The Play Lottery is a playwriting competition that runs every other month. The winning play is chosen completely at random, and gets professional feedback, a staged reading at the Libra in Camden, and a share of the profits.

So far we have supported ten writers via the Play Lottery, and we are excited to support even more in the future!

If you have a script and want to take a shot, head to the Play Lottery website (link in bio) and fill out our submission form before Wed 16 July

A stranger calls at the isolated home of a recluse, asking for directions; but the real reason she is there is far more sinister.

Excited to announce that Haydn Watts will play Daniel in Wednesday's Play Lottery!

Haydn is a 2023 graduate from Italia Conti. Since his graduating he has worked on award winning film Contact Hours (2024) as well as the soon to be released The Other Hand (2025).

He has also met the stage with another award winning and ongoing production, Last Goal Wins (2023 - ) appearing at the vault festival and Theatre Peckham. As well as Phalanx at the Lion and Unicorn Theatre (2024).

Wednesday's show - MAYBE YOU SHOULD KNOW by - tells the story of Daniel and Julie, two people from different generations and different worlds, confronting each other and the ghosts of their past.

Less than a week until MAYBE YOU SHOULD INOW performs as part of May's Play Lottery!

We're delighted to announce that Nesba Crenshaw will play the role of Julie, a mother with empty next syndrome who decides to take in Daniel from the Homes for Ukraine scheme.

Nesba has recently worked on several West End productions: 'The Years' at The Almeida, Lyonesse at The Harold Pinter and 4000 Miles at The Old Vic. She has worked in various shows Off Broadway and Off West End as well as numerous fringe productions.

We're delighted to announce that May's Play Lottery winner is MAYBE YOU SHOULD KNOW by Maria Speight!

A young man and middle-aged woman from two different worlds confront each other and the ghosts of their past as they struggle with answering the question of what, if anything, do we owe to our mothers and they to the sons they raise.

Set against the background of the Homes for Ukraine scheme, the play provides a perfect blend of humour and drama.

"People can't be bothered to invest the time to get to the centre of the sweet. I call them MIMs - Melt in the Mouths. Confectionery is to be savoured and enjoyed. Some expect too much and spit it out, many worry about the effects of consuming it, others gulp it down prematurely..."

We perform tonight! This month's play is all about sweets, and if we can indulge in puns for a moment, it's a delectable story, with just a little hint of something more bittersweet edges.
