Fifteen Years of Factory Fifteen 15/15

Year 15, here we are. As we look to the future we believe our backgrounds in architectural design and our evolution into film and media content design has put us in a really unique place in the growing experiential landscape. What was once nieche and a slightly odd transition (to explain), now makes total sense to us. As media becomes more immersive, the built environment becomes more digital and the cultural experiences we go to become more mixed media, we look forward to applying our spatial design, story craft and direction to the next generation of entertainment.

Fifteen Years of Factory Fifteen 14/15

30 second clips of each year!

Year 14 saw us take on another long form TV project in for @**newpicturesltd**. This seminal kids TV show was all about using design and VFX to communicate teenage emotions and real issues. The project won a BAFTA for ‘Best Episodic Children's Show’ and we were stoked to be part of that. Around that, 2 more EXO-Sphere ads with and a banging spec film for @**hyundai** among 9, YES NINE, to be released experiences coming later this summer.

Year 13 saw us take things to an even BIGGER scale. Several EXO-Sphere films with contributions to the first major sporting event within Sphere for with , which won 2 EMMYS. Further collaborations with to anounce Roma stadium to the world rounded out a banger of a year for us. ****

Year 12 saw us take car showrooms to the next level with , multiple architectural competitions for world renowned architects, and our first EXO-Sphere film with . Marking a full circle journey from concepting the sphere in a aspirational film to actually developing for it. Nothing prepares you for seeing your film on a building the scale of Sphere.

Fifteen Years of Factory Fifteen 11/15

30 second clips of each year!

Year 11 saw the mammoth that was THE KITCHEN our first feature film co-directed by our own released, with design and VFX by Factory Fifteen led by the late Jonathan Gales who tragically passed away that year. In and amongst the madness of the kitchen we had another feature in concept stage development, produced a cracking architectural film for and directed a multi-media experience for which became one of our best projects to date. There isn’t a dry eye in the room still today when we show that project.

Fifteen Years of Factory Fifteen 10/15

Year 10 was hard, covid hit and our studio culture changed from running a studio / gallery and shared office space to being lumped into a small office with non of that. As we adapted further collaborations with and kept us going. Then BOOM we won the Tokyo Olympics titles and it was game on. Through another bout of Covid, we made it happen and the project became one of our most well known projects, winning a along the way.

Year 9 was quite an architecturally focused year, producing major films for , KPF and @**studioegretwest**. We continued our long standing creative partnership with and created a major installation for the Dubai Expo for the UAE pavilion with which imagined the future of the UAD hidden behind an interactive ‘Mirage’.

Fifteen Years of Factory Fifteen 8/15

Year 8 gives us some wise words on the journey so far in building your own ip and the importance of that as a creative even working in the commercial world. We had some mad collaborations with @**skidmoreowingsmerrill, 2 interactive installations for with** for . We also worked for a whole year on the design of for the , adapting Malorie Blackmans novels to the small screen.

Fifteen Years of Factory Fifteen 7/15

30 second clips of each year!

Year 7 we created some seminal architectural films for .arch \brown and KPF which helping women take up football for in the campaign, and helping people stay fit in ads for .health. Our biggest and most trajectory changing project that year though was for in 2018. Woolmark trusted us with their fashion show / awards ceremony and we designed a catwalk and event interactions experience never seen before. It’s still one of our favorite projects. Continuing the evolution into experiential, we also produced and directed a mixed media theatre show for the with . Jeez, looking back year 7 was a BANGER! You don’t know the good times when your in them do you.

Year 6 saw us release our most ambitious short film yet in staring and . did a talk and we flew round the world for a advert for for . We also helped launch in an immersive installation, and worked with and to bring a new era of to Liberty media in launching the new Logo to the world as a viral stunt.
