At The Old Vic for an excellent production of Oedipus starring Rami Malek and Indira Varma, co-directed by Hofesh Shechter and Matthew Warchus. This alone is worth the trip.

Tickets for Floyd Collins starring Jeremy Jordan at Lincoln Center’s Vivian Beaumont Theater are on sale today. As part of the product team, I am so excited to be part of one of next season’s most important productions.

Floyd Collins, featuring a haunting exploration of the American dream by Tina Landau and a glorious folk and bluegrass-inspired score by Adam Guettel (Days of Wine and Rose, The Light in the Piazza), tells the transcendent tale of a true American dreamer. You will love it.

Floyd Collins is a gripping and powerful musical based on the true story of a cave explorer in Kentucky, 1925. While chasing a dream of fame and fortune by turning Sand Cave into a tourist attraction, Floyd Collins (Jeremy Jordan) himself becomes the attraction when he gets trapped 200 feet underground.

Previews begin March 27, 2025.

On this day, in 1947, A Street Car Named Desire by Tennessee Williams opened on Broadway at the Ethel Barrymore Theater. The play was an instant success and has become one of the most notable works of the theater. Jessica Tandy and Marlon Brando were photographed at a rehearsal by LIFE photographer Eliot Elisofan. The Historic New Orleans Collection has an incredible collection devoted to Williams including an original Playbill and the typewriter on which he composed the play while living in New Orleans. We said goodbye to Williams in 1983 but his amazing oeuvre lives on.

Eric Paulson lived his life to the fullest. He was curious, adventurous, funny, smart, successful and a good friend to so many - including my husband David Bernard. It wasn’t long after I met David that we went to visit his favorite city, New Orleans. High on the list of people to meet was Eric and his wonderful wife Bethany. I was smitten. Eventually, we moved to New Orlrans and I was lucky enough to be with Eric frequently. When David and I got married in 2019, we asked Eric to officiate the ceremony. The above photo was taken just after the ceremony at our house. Sadly, we lost Eric this morning but I will be forever grateful to have known him.
