Tanguito Tanguito is an authentic Argentine tango school in the heart of London. Pleased to teach you :) Ok, so what is tango apart from a fizzy, orange drink? Start here.

We teach with an original technique, using modern teaching tools to produce happy, shiny, dancy people. We want our students to enjoy tango and we'll do everything we can to make you feel at home. In short, tango is: a dance of South American origin, danced by couples in a social setting. In long, it is emotional, poetic, disciplined, physical, unpredictable, addictive, passionate, authentic, spiritual and that's only the short of the long of it. So, if you're looking for something involving with a ton of character and loads to offer, Argentine tango is for you. Tango attracts a whole melting pot of people, some who look like they were bred for it and some who might come as a pleasant surprise: so don't fret if you don't look like you're straight out of Buenos Aires. And, if you feel you have as much natural flair as Silvio Berlusconi has trouser control, that's fine too. Everyone's got to start somewhere. And starting is fun! 🕺🏻💃THIS TUESDAY: OCHO ADELANTE — FROM ELEGANT BASICS TO CREATIVE VARIATIONS & DYNAMICS!

This Tuesday 13 October, we’re diving into one of the most elegant and versatile movements in Argentine tango: the Ocho Adelante (forward ocho)! 💃🕺

Far more than a simple figure, the forward ocho opens up a wonderful world of possibilities. From smooth pivots and fluid changes of direction to playful variations in rhythm and dynamics, it’s a movement that can transform the way we dance.

At 7pm, our Beginners class will explore the foundations of the Ocho Adelante. We’ll work progressively on the pivots, dissociation, balance and the connection between partners, helping you create a movement that feels natural, comfortable and beautifully fluid.

At 8pm, Improvers & Intermediates will take things further with Ocho variations and dynamics. How can we turn a familiar movement into something surprising?

We’ll experiment with changes of speed, energy and direction, explore different possibilities for leading and following, and discover how to use the music to make our ochos more expressive and exciting.

🇯🇵 JAPANGO 2027 – A BRAND-NEW JAPANESE ADVENTURE! 🌸🗻💃

You know how much we love Japan! ❤️ And after so many wonderful adventures there, we thought… why not shake things up a little and discover a whole new side of this extraordinary country? So for Japango 2027, we're introducing a completely new itinerary! 🎉

Of course, we're keeping the very best of what makes Japango so special: Tokyo and Kyoto remain at the heart of our journey. But this time, we're going further. Much further! 🛫

🌸 TOKYO & BEYOND – We'll explore new neighbourhoods, discover the vibrant waterfront of Yokohama and its famous Chinatown, and head to Kawaguchiko for breathtaking views of Mount Fuji reflected in beautiful lakes.

🌋 KYUSHU – A WHOLE NEW JAPAN! – For the first time, we'll venture south to this fascinating island, famous for its volcanic landscapes, hot springs, spectacular coastline and delicious regional cuisine. We'll discover:

🍜 Fukuoka, a lively city renowned for its street-food stalls and exceptional ramen.

♨️ Yufuin, a charming hot-spring town surrounded by mountains, traditional streets and beautiful countryside.

🏖️ Karatsu and Nijinomatsubara, with gorgeous beaches, pine forests and coastal scenery.

🏮 Mojiko Retro, a nostalgic historic port with beautiful architecture and a wonderfully old-fashioned atmosphere.

⛩️ KYOTO & ITS HIDDEN TREASURES – We'll return to magical Kyoto, but explore beyond the familiar sights, with visits to Nara and its famous deer, and the lush mountain villages of Kurama and Kibune.

💃🕺 And of course, tango remains the thread connecting our adventures! We'll meet local dancers, enjoy beautiful milongas and experience once again the extraordinary warmth of Japan's tango communities.

Along the way, expect new flavours, regional specialities, little discoveries, wonderful encounters, plenty of laughter and those unexpected moments that make travelling together so memorable.

💃🕺 THIS SUNDAY: SPECIAL GUEST VERONICA VAZQUEZ — OCHOS SUPERCHARGED & LOS ANGELITOS!

This Sunday at Los Angelitos, we take one of tango’s most useful movements — the forward ocho — and develop it progressively through the afternoon.

At 2pm, our Beginners and Improvers classes work on the foundations and variations of the forward ocho, before the 3pm class takes things much further with Ochos Supercharged: adding barridas, contra movement, changes of dynamics and more.

Then from 4.30pm, stay and dance at our friendly Sunday Los Angelitos milonga, with music by TDJ Bruno.
