Kate Thomas

Trained at East 15 Acting School then moved into the music side of the business. Kate had a successful career as a musician for nearly 8 years and is known for her work in the jazz, Latin and world music genres. However, Kate has now returned home and is now focusing on her acting and presenting career. Kate is currently presenting her own music show on Sky called "Memory Lane" and she also recently worked with ITV Studios / Potato Productions on a new Johnny Cash biopic "Man in Black" playing Carrie Cash where she combined both her acting and music skills. And this is what her colleagues are saying

"Great Actor and Singer! AND lovely to work with!" [ITV/Potato Productions]

"You did a wonderful job Kate and your scenes really brought the story to life. Very nice work and I hope to work with you again." [Zoran Trajkovic - Television Director at ITV Studios]

“A singer-songwriter, actress, presenter and a very funny lady! Kate Thomas you are an all round performer and good egg!” [Rob Jelly - BBC Essex]

“Like Edith Piaf and Judy Garland all wrapped up in one!” [Helen Lederer]

And the papers perhaps?!

“A change of pace ensues when Ethan Loftus and Kate Thomas take to the stage as Lenny and Ange, the two achingly working-class terrors from Doug Lucie’s Progress. In a difficult scene, both performers bring their characters to life emotionally, creating a palpable tension during their short time on stage.” [The Stage]

“A scene from The Priory by Michael Wynne provides wonderful casting for Frankie Meredith and Kate Thomas as Laura and Kate. Meredith imbibes Laura with a wide-eyed, innocent quality that juxtaposes beautifully with Thomas’s well-judged, insecure Kate.” [The Stage]
