Company Three

Company Three Company Three is a leading force for change for teenagers in our local community and around the world

Company Three is a company of 75 young people aged 11-19 in Islington, North London. We make plays for adult audiences that speak deeply of what it means to be a teenager, through long-term collaboration between our company members and professional theatre-makers. Our work under our previous name, Islington Community Theatre, includes Brainstorm at the National Theatre and on BBC iPlayer.

Where will young people go after the social media ban? What’s the alternative to staring at a wall?

Young people need places to connect, express themselves and be creative. Right now, youth theatres, arts groups and youth centres are doing that brilliant work, but they’re stretched thin.

If we want to fill the void this ban will create, we need more connection, more creativity and more joy.

That’s the power of Youth Theatre.

Since 2024, we’ve run 32 free online Running a Youth Theatre sessions, in collaboration with Theatre Factory, Burnley Youth Theatre, Mortal Fools, 20 Stories High and Prime Theatre.

And we’ve been involved in supporting Youth Theatre Together - a national development organisation for youth theatre in England.

We partner with youth arts organisations through creative Exchanges.

In 2023/24, we worked with on the Grow Up Exchange, where we all made our own plays based on the same starting point: Grow Up.

A few months ago, the fantastic and created response pieces that were performed at C3 Festivals, through the Festivals Exchange.

And in 2025/26, the Cities Exchange saw us and work together to create plays about living in our cities.

Massive love to our Exchange partners ❤️
