The Other Palace

After the Saturday matinee, there will be a 30min Q&A discussing the process of creating this cross-cultural musical and adapting Japanese works.

The panel will be the creators Yojiro Ichikawa Eden Tredwell , and Juna Shai Misato Higashijima who starred in the show both in Tokyo and London, with Junko Takekawa from The Japan Foundation, London

Few in-person tickets are still available for the Sat 3pm performance. The Q&A is also available to watch online as live streaming.

GALAXY TRAIN - Cast introduction

Juna Shai

Originally from Tokyo, Japan, Juna is a London-based Japanese-Bangladeshi artist with various performance credits in the U.S., U.K. and Tokyo.

She is a proud graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University with a BFA in Music Theatre, and recently completed the New Earth Performers Academy. Theatre Credits include: Pearl and Dagger (Tokoyo), Cats (Jemima), South Pacific (Liat), Fame (Carmen Diaz), etc. She has recently wrapped filming her first feature film in Budapest, releasing in Summer 2023.

Juna is thrilled to be back on stage reprising her role as Emilia/School Girl in Galaxy Train after the successful reading in Tokyo. We are so thrilled to have her back as part of our team!
