Oro Esu ooo!

We felicitate with our Spiritual Father, Esu Afolabi Esuleke, on his installation as the Baale Esu Agbaye in Ile-Ife, following his installation in Osogbo.
We are deeply honoured to have you as part of us, Sir. We pray that Èṣù guides your decisions, strengthens your leadership, and grants you wisdom as you take on this sacred responsibility.

In the presence of Esu, there is fullness of Joy. And in Esu we are grateful and glad indeed. It is a beautiful month. As we match into the month of March, we ask that Esu and the host of Irunmole that reside with us all, grant us success in all of our endeavors.

Keesugba!

This was a heartful homage to Esu, the guardian of the crossroads and overseer of human choices, at Ori Oke Oore during the Esu Festival 2025 in Iwo Osun. May Eledumare crown all our prayers with Ase.

On this glorious day a Mother and Queen was born and on this day ever since the sun shines brighter, the moon glows lighter, stars glitters and dances around the skies and the ocean waves cheerfully all in celebration of this dear daughter of Olokun. How can we at WURA Kulture Foundation not join the host of Orisas and Olokun to celebrate the solar return of our darling friend, Sister and Mother Yeye Olookun Okunteniola.

On this day we celebrate you Ma. We shall do so again next year and always. Thank you for your ceaseless prayers, love and support towards this organization. We are eternally grateful and honored to walk this Path with you.

Eyo Olókun is one of the less frequently seen but spiritually significant manifestations within the Eyo (Adamu Oríṣà) tradition of Lagos. It is closely linked to Olókun, the powerful Yorùbá deity of the deep sea, associated with wealth, mystery, fertility, healing, and spiritual depth. Eyo Olókun is not as commonly referenced as groups like Adímu, Oníkò, or Okanlaba, but its presence underscores the older, esoteric layers of the Eyo institution—where the festival meets priesthood.

Two words that capture the spirit of the Eyo Festival 2025, as experienced by us WURA Kulture Foundation

From the silent authority of the white-robed masquerades to the electric pulse of the crowd, Eyo is a play between ancestry and the present—mysterious in form, radiant in expression....

Through this collection of photographs captured by our photographer, Babajide,
if you had to choose just TWO words, how would you describe the Eyo Festival?
