I work in a venue (those who know me know where) that has three DJ's on three floors! Each of us is a Veteran and we rock the place every weekend. We know how to read the crowd (big part of the art of DeeJaying which a lot of bean counters that run the venue's don't get!). We have the experience to choose from a huge pool of tunes (though to be fair, the pool diminishes according to the age of your audience). We can interact and use the mic (younger DJ's can rarely master the concept!). The Veteran DJ brings the life to a venue and can hold it throughout the night! It's a no brainer! Tell your friends!
