Arts Canteen Our program supports emerging artists from the Arab world & surrounding region bringing their work, Arts Canteen is a London-based venture with big ambition.

Our aim is to explore artistic relationships between the Middle East and Mediterranean regions and diverse audiences across Europe. We will provide platforms for emerging and mid-career artists who create exciting contemporary visual art and music. Arts Canteen is not a fixed space but a home for stirring the arts. We want to share ideas and open new conversations through events, exhibitions and this page.

A rare and unique show is coming to London’s Soho Theatre in Walthamstow!

Show : Step and a Half ( The Palestinian Circus School)
Dates: July 31 – August 2, 2026
Venue: Soho Theatre Walthamstow (186 Hoe Street, London)

Inspired by the traditions of Palestinian a joyful folk dance, and its iconic rhythm Wahdeh w Nos, this uplifting circus show is a celebration of life and togetherness in an inclusive demonstration of heritage, identity, and collective freedom.

There will be a short post show discussion after every show where you will be able to talk to the company and representatives from Medical Aid for Palestinians

The show is in partnership with Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) & PSC.

MAP works with The Palestinian Circus School in the West Bank to empower Palestinian children and advance their confidence, rights and participation in public life.

Als ge ens een andere inkiik in Gaza wilt dan die geboden door uw openbare omroep, dan is een tentoonstelling van Palestijnse kunstenaars een goed gedacht. Eye On Palestine nodigt Hani Zurob, May Murad, Hamada El Kept en Malak Mattar it, die allemaal een manier zoeken om te verbeelden wat ze in hun thuisland te verduren krijgen. Onmacht, verlies, verveemding en ontheemding, maar ook hoop. Echt waar. En als ge met de kunstenaars wilt praten, kan dat op 25 april om 17u.

Join us for a very special evening at as we proudly present our much-anticipated on Thursday 25th June 2026.

Nadine Khouri is a Lebanese British singer-sonqwriter currently based in Marseille, France. Influenced by alternative folk, film soundtracks and spoken-word poetry, her sound has been described as a “music born of perennial outsider-status.”
Her first album ‘The Salted Air’ was recorded in Bristol and produced by legendary British producer John Parish (PJ Harvey, This is the Kit.) A poetic collection of meditations on loss and displacement, the album was hailed by MOJO as “A thing of dark possessed beauty” celebrated by Q (Critics Choice) and selected as one of Rough Trade’s Albums of the Year.

Nadine’s performance accompanied by her London band, featuring Basia Bartz (violin, keys, vocals), Francis Booth (bass), Tomas Garcia (drums.)

She will be performing songs from her catalogue alongside a first look at unreleased material from a forthcoming album.
