Als ge ens een andere inkiik in Gaza wilt dan die geboden door uw openbare omroep, dan is een tentoonstelling van Palestijnse kunstenaars een goed gedacht. Eye On Palestine nodigt Hani Zurob, May Murad, Hamada El Kept en Malak Mattar it, die allemaal een manier zoeken om te verbeelden wat ze in hun thuisland te verduren krijgen. Onmacht, verlies, verveemding en ontheemding, maar ook hoop. Echt waar. En als ge met de kunstenaars wilt praten, kan dat op 25 april om 17u.

Join us for a very special evening at as we proudly present our much-anticipated on Thursday 25th June 2026.

Nadine Khouri is a Lebanese British singer-sonqwriter currently based in Marseille, France. Influenced by alternative folk, film soundtracks and spoken-word poetry, her sound has been described as a “music born of perennial outsider-status.”
Her first album ‘The Salted Air’ was recorded in Bristol and produced by legendary British producer John Parish (PJ Harvey, This is the Kit.) A poetic collection of meditations on loss and displacement, the album was hailed by MOJO as “A thing of dark possessed beauty” celebrated by Q (Critics Choice) and selected as one of Rough Trade’s Albums of the Year.

Nadine’s performance accompanied by her London band, featuring Basia Bartz (violin, keys, vocals), Francis Booth (bass), Tomas Garcia (drums.)

She will be performing songs from her catalogue alongside a first look at unreleased material from a forthcoming album.

This week, we celebrated Arab Christmas!

A magical and very significant project. We first curated Arab Christmas back in 2015 in London and we are proudly celebrating our 10th anniversary.

The occasion, The Grand Junction (the venue) the sense of community, the fabulous artists, readers and brilliant musicians and singers, Najib Coutya, Hayat Selim, Tarek Elazhary, Mina Salama, Selma Dabbagh, Yara Sharif, Hannah Khalil, Dr Khaled Dawas

Special thanks to our wonderful London’s audiences!

Thank you again to all who listened, watched, sang, melted and flew together in the chants and the deep silence!

Thank you all people who helped backstage in Grand Junction including Keshyn, Natania from marketing, Thom and Nigel from sound and lighting and Lucy Foster, director of Grand Junction and her team James, Ali and all.

Thank you Tania Salmen for the delicious biscuits, it was a wonderful treat.

Thank vou all who spread the word and supported in different ways! Together we made it happen...

This concert is a celebration of the human voice. The voice has been a medium of worship across religions and societies from time immemorial, and tonight is a reminder of the ability of our voices to connect with each other.

Celebrating the Byzantine, Aramaic and Coptic traditions, some of the music you will hear tonight can be traced back as far as the 4th century AD. Using the same melodic structures as are used in Qur’anic recitation, these melodies form a symbolic bridge not just to the past, but across seemingly profound cultural divides.

We hope that Arab Christmas concert in the Grand Junction iconic venue in the heart of London sends a message of hope and solidarity for 2026, reminding us of our deep-rooted inter-relationships.

Arab Christmas is produced by Arts Canteen in association with Grand Junction.
