💙 I love blue 💙 particularly this super bold and electric one 🥹 it’s the colour that makes me the most happy and I use it in pretty much everything I make 🤤 it’s also the colour I get the most comments on, so it’s definitely a favourite for lots of you guys too! 😍〰️

Using the right shades of colour in my work is important to me, ESPECIALLY this blue, and although it’s a popular one, I’ve found that it’s also quite hard to achieve across different paints and surfaces 〰️ I’ve been testing out a new material for a commission and have been working with a lab to develop the peeeerfect blue 💙🔵🔷🌀 after 4 rounds of tests and experimenting with different pigments and fluorescent powders, we have hit the jackpot! 😍

We’re back with another Awe Walk!

This time we’re in Hackney, starting at Mama Shelter in Cambridge Heath, where we’ve teamed up with

Every month, The Self Hood organises a free and friendly co-working day at Mama Shelter 💛 There’s cake, relaxed chats, and this time - our very own Awe Walk! 〰️〰️

Our walk is open to all, whether you’re booked into the co-working event, or looking for a small pause in the middle of your day. Come with us to slow down, look around and tune into what’s around you. Together, we’ll be looking for the joyful colours, shapes and patterns using view-finders to help us focus in on the hidden details of our city.

Come rain or shine, we’ll stroll from Mama Shelter to Broadway Market - we hope to see you there! 👋❤️

Thank you South East London 💛 You brought the energy! Coming together with friends old and new on a wet, windy Friday for an Awe Walk with and was something really special! 🌧️🌞🌈✨

What a joy to explore the colours, shapes, patterns and textures of the city together.

Our favourite part of the walk was hearing everyone say how relaxed it made them feel. Proof that slowing down and noticing the little things really does make a big difference 💙

We’ll be hosting more of our Awe Walks over the coming weeks, so keep an eye out for our next location. We’d love to see you there!

I have loveddd getting all your messages and photos from when you’ve passed it - on the family school runs and the late night walks home from the pub! It’s the best best best feeling knowing that it’s added a little extra joy to your days 🥹💙

The last couple of weeks have been a bit of a rollercoaster of exciting possibilities and super inspiring conversations, mixed with rejections and a wonderful project I’d been working on for the past couple of months being called-off last minute.

I’ve recently seen a couple of other artists talking openly about their experiences with the ups and downs of freelance life, and it helped me feel a bit less in my head about it all 💛

So, a little reminder to my fellow and fabulous freelance creatives out there…the wobbles, the wins and the pauses are all part of the process, and the reality is that work can be unpredictable! 〰️〰️

I feel like the reality of pouring your heart into pitches and projects that then don’t go ahead isn’t spoken about a huge amount, but I think it’s important to remember it happens to us ALL! 💙 You’re not falling behind, we’re just making room for new ‘yeses’ coming our waaaay OH YES! 👋👀💥

Here are a couple of recent moments that have brought me much joy while on the rollercoaster of freelance life - don’t forget to take in all the small stuff ❤️

I painted my first ever mirror and I’M IN LOVE! 😭❤️🤠💙💥😍

This custom piece was a commission for my friend Eliza who chose her favourite colour combinations (big yes from me) 👀👌

Painting this in 34 degree heat at the studio was definitely a challenge, and having to see my sweaty reflection while painting was just rude, but I had soo much fun and now want to do a hundred more! 🥹

Art Week at Jenny Hammond Primary School! 🖍️💥🎨✂️✏️

I was invited into Reception (age 5) to share my colourful and pattern-filled world 🌀🟥〰️ We learnt about regular and irregular shapes and how they can be layered and tessellated to build up different patterns 〰️

Together we drew around a range of shapes - from ovals and parallelograms (that was a fun word to teach them 😂), to compound shapes (shapes made up of simpler shapes which are joined together)

AND BOY DID WE HAVE FUN! 💥💙 They had soo much enthusiasm - when I arrived on my first day, a pupil ran up to me and proudly said that art week was their favourite week of the year 😭❤️

It was a powerful reminder of just how much art, creativity, play, and colour are such a big, and loved, part of our childhood. As we grow older, many of our spaces strip these things away - grey boardrooms, bland waiting rooms, white offices 😞 But creativity and play aren’t just for kids, they’re deep sources of joy for all of us, at any age, and with any ability 💛

So here’s your gentle reminder to add some colour into your life 🔴🔷🟨 Make time for creativity in whatever way feels most joyful to you…it doesn’t have to be perfect, just playful! 🤠🌀🙌❤️

My T-shirt design for + is inspired by the rhythms, textures and patterns in music 💙 As part of my process, I listened to a variety of songs - from deep, dubby baselines to wobbly drum loops 〰️

With pen on paper, I closed my eyes, listened closely and let my hand do its thaaang 〰️〰️ I then danced my music-inspired drawings along my moving scanner bed, which developed patterns full of motion - mirroring the shifts of energy in our bodies when we collectively move to music 🕺💥 Here’s a look at some of the patterns I made while working on my design ❤️

Repetitive sounds and rhythmic patterns take me to a veryyy happy place and I love exploring how they translate into visual lines and marks 〰️🔲🔴🔷 If you’ve never tried it before, I highly recommend! It’s mega soothing and such a quick and relaxing off-screen break during the day (check out ’s and my Music + Awe Booklet in my shop for some creative musical inspo💥👀🔈)

I’m sure you know for yourself how music has the magical power to lower stress, relieve pain and increase happiness 💛 I hope my T-shirt inspires you to go have a wiggle and move your body - whether it’s while drawing to your favourite song or having a boogie on the dance flooooor 🙌🪩

I love patterns. Whether they’re visual, or as rhythms in sound 〰️〰️

I’ve often spoken about how important dance spaces are and how much joy they bring me 💙 Music is a mega part of my creative inspiration and is often the starting point for my designs 💥 I love tuning into all the different layers of sound and letting the rhythms and textures in the music inspire the marks and shapes that unfold on my page ✏️💛

With music and art being my main luuurvs of life, it was an absolute JOY to be asked by and to design a music-inspired t-shirt to celebrate their 2025 event ❤️ Secret 7” is a charity project that combines music and art to raise funds and awareness for War Child, helping ensure a safe future for every child affected by war around the world 🩵

Music is a universal joy, it brings people together and creates a community, without the need for words 💪 My t-shirt, ‘The Rhythm of Unity’, is a celebration of music’s power to spark joy, inspire play and unite us through sound 💙🔈
