Well it wasn't really but we brought HP Lovecraft's Dunwich Horror to brilliant life tonight despite needing to cut out one last puppet during and 's Haunter in the Dark. I loved getting to sing with again and with luck we will bring this show to in the fall!

Translating the in is fun for me as an artist and lover of The Weird. As my interpretation of contrasts Wilbur's wizardry as one of control and Professor Armitage as one of harmony, I've chosen to represent the Whatelys as old fashioned magic tomes with a bit of Mayan imagery (as they figured in my Mexican "Call of Cthulhu"). For the repairing magic of Armitage, I've taken the theosphist/Swedenborgian , with its organic feel and intrinsic love of balance, and dropped some of her visuals in to show the contrast between the two worldviews. Making puppets for the Dunwich Horror Picture Show this Friday at the ! Going back to my puppet making roots today ... and making a puppet out of a cereal box again! It's sold out but hopefully we'll do it again next year, maybe at 's Yellow Book Bar (where "Haunter of the Dark" and "The Doom that came to Sarnath" will be playing in July - and will be at that show, too!)
