any shows for deserving charities. The Merlin has also performed for other magical societies & they have returned the favour by performing for the Merlin. A programme of events is set out for the year covering a wide variety of subjects, these include Close-up Magic, Children's Magic,
Pocket Tricks, Sale of Apparatus, Practice & Help etc. The Merlin also has a number of professional guest lecturers each year. On most evenings it is expected that each attending member will bring & perform at least one effect appertaining to the evening's subject, but it is also realized that with new members it is not always possible at first. There is time to chat, and ask for help or seek constructive advice, we are a friendly lot & proud of it. The Merlin also produces a monthly newsletter, so members can catch up on any evenings that they may have missed.
