Join us for a practical acting workshop focused on scene analysis and making strong character choices.
Many actors rush straight into performance, but skipping scene analysis and character work can mean missing the heart of a scene.
In this session, we’ll explore the essential (and often overlooked) process of breaking down a scene. As a group, we’ll analyse the text, identify what drives each character, and explore the relationships and stakes within the scene.
You’ll then get on your feet and, through practical tools and guided exercises, discover what motivates each character, experiment with different approaches to the scene, and learn how thoughtful analysis leads to truthful, compelling choices.
At the end of the session, you’ll perform the scene with your partner from start to finish without interruptions.
🎥 You can record the scene on your phone during class. Alternatively, you can join our Self-Tape Practice class on another date at a discounted rate and be professionally taped performing the same scene (£20 instead of £25).
