This time it’s all about colour combinations as we would like to invite you to join out tribute class on Sunday afternoon decided to the colour geniuses from Poland - the Etam Cru.
The young artists of today have a great grasp of colour that impresses deeply - from paper to large murals.

This is the first one in the Winter Animal Series for older children - these will be dedicated to watercolour and colour pencils. You can read more on the event page.

Wonderful warm greens and unexpected cool pinks -
Today in a private class in the studio we were exploring the old master techniques of moving into colour from grisaille painting and matching the value of the browns to any other full spectrum colour - and here are our results. What do you think? This class was based on one of the classes in the adults section of on-demand courses titled Kitchen Chronicles. Would you like to explore art further during holidays? The rescheduled class did take place and it was an excellent study on how the colours change according to the light source.
You can still investigate the magic of light once you understand how to work it, and then whatever you are painting becomes easy and pleasurable :)
