ObáObá Summer Edition is this Saturday!

Our vibes will be in tune with Summer, with the traditional Brazilian "Festa Junina", and the World Cup. The party will once again take place by the canal at the amazing Grow. But this time it is different: our third and biggest ever edition is happening on a Saturday and will start earlier so we can enjoy both outside and inside areas and bars.

And the best part is: entry is free!

The chosen date for our party is no coincidence… 2nd February is an instrumental date in the Brazilian cultural calendar. It is Iemanjá (or Yemoja) day. Iemanjá is a water deity celebrated across cultures, often depicted as a mermaid, always surrounded by mysteries…So ObáObá - Iemanjá Vibes is all about paying respect the diversity of the Brazilian cultural background and celebrating the carnival season with good music and good vibes! Hi beautiful people!! It has been a month (we know🙄) since ObáObá - Tropicalia Beats at Grow!! Reconcavo Beats had an amazing time organizing this party and we would like to thank those who came and had fun with us! We would also like to thank, once again, some of those who were essential to this project. So a BIG THANK YOU to the brilliant DJ Amarall and Farofa; everyone from the amazing Grow, Hackney; the fantastic Double Xote trio (oh, how we all looove dancing Forro!); the delicious Cachaça Bartolomeu; and Pausa musical for the funky setlist. We would also like to thank Fabrício Mendes for connecting us to the right people at the right time; Thiago Santos for filming the live act AND rocking on the dance floor; Laura Carvalho for giving the party a deserving name; Patricia Wolmer for designing Reconcavo Beats’ logo; Anne Ldmc for helping us decorate the space; and Camilo Fortunato Jr. for spreading the word. YOU GUYS ROCK!

Our family has grown again!! Porto based Farofa will be also playing at ObáObá!! 👏👏Spreading love and connections all around, he is an expert in Brazilian Music and vinyl, he currently plays at Kebraku and has played in other parties and festivals such as Pilantragi, Festival MIMO, Baile Tropicante, Candonga, DESOBEDOC, and many others!! ! 💃 SEGURAAA!
