Do you really know the artists you see… or just the ones the algorithm shows you?
Gordon Coldwell has been with NNC Gallery since 2018. Gordon Coldwell
We discovered his work through a call. The same call we continue to run today.
No trends.
No shortcuts.
Just attention.
Since then, we have followed his journey, his research, his evolution.
Not for a moment, but over time.
And this is the point.
Today, most artists reach us through algorithms.
We see what is pushed to us.
We scroll what is selected for us.
But real discovery works differently.
It takes time.
It takes intention.
It takes someone willing to look beyond the surface.
Gordon is one of those artists you don’t just “see”.
You return to him.

We have been working on a retrospective catalogue of his work and presenting him for 8 years through our magazine, our channels, and to galleries, curators and collectors. We do this because we believe in his work, and we have chosen to look for it beyond the trends.

So we ask you:
When was the last time you discovered an artist outside the algorithm?

If you are an artist, curator or gallerist,
maybe it’s time to step out of passive reception
and choose where to look.

We are still here, doing exactly that.

NNC Gallery London – Challenge Call

NNC Gallery London invites photographers and visual artists to apply to the monthly NNC Gallery Challenge. The call is open to artists from all countries and at all stages of their careers who wish to present their work within an international curatorial platform.

Selected artists will be featured through the NNC Gallery website, social channels and editorial projects, becoming part of a growing global network of artists, curators and collectors.

The Challenge aims to discover original artistic voices and support contemporary visual research.

The art world has a curious relationship with time.
Some things become obsolete in a season.
Others quietly resist the calendar.

Right now we are at the Affordable Art Fair in Battersea Park, in London, and we will be here until tomorrow.

These days are dedicated to what we love most: walking, meeting people, talking about art.
We are connecting with curators, collectors and artists, sharing conversations and distributing our catalogues.

In our hands you will find the publications that have accompanied our journey over the years:

100 Art Photography Magazine
and NNC Magazine.

There is a small detail that always surprises people.

We happily distribute every issue, starting from the very first one.

Not only the latest.

Because the artists we publish are not disposable content, and the research we support is not designed to expire with the next algorithmic wave.

Art does not have an expiration date.

Our magazines from the first issue to the most recent one still travel with us, still speak, still connect people.

Because good art does not age.
It simply continues to grow new meanings as time passes.

If you are visiting the fair, come say hello.

In the world of photography there are artists who chase the perfect image.
And then there are artists who search for the truth inside stories.

Viet Van Tran, winner of the NNC Gallery Challenge 2022, clearly belongs to the second group.
IG https://www.instagram.com/vietvant/
FB https://www.facebook.com/vietvan.tran.50/

Born in Hanoi in 1971, he graduated from the Hanoi Cultural University and began his professional career as a journalist. Today he works as a reporter for Lao D**g Newspaper. Alongside journalism, photography became his most powerful language: a sensitive gaze capable of moving through everyday life, memory and deeply human emotions.

Throughout his career he has held numerous solo exhibitions and participated in many international group shows across Asia, Europe and the United States. His work has received dozens of international photography awards, including recognitions from competitions such as PX3, IPA, ND Awards, TIFA and MIFA.

We are also very proud that Viet Van Tran has been published several times in our international photography magazine, becoming part of the community of artists who have helped shape the visual research of our platform.

His vision of photography is beautifully simple:

The power of photography is not to create a beautiful image, but an image that tells a story and creates an emotional dialogue with the viewer.

That is exactly what happens when you encounter his photographs.
They do not simply ask to be seen.
They ask to be felt.

Meanwhile, these days we are presenting our catalogues and editorial projects at The Other Art Fair in Battersea Park, in London.

Art fairs are always fascinating ecosystems: meetings, discoveries, unexpected conversations and new artistic paths crossing each other in the same space.

At the beginning of next week we will publish a full report from the fair, sharing what we discovered, who we met, and the creative energies currently circulating in the contemporary art world.

Because art, in the end, is exactly this:
a living network of stories that keep meeting each other.

Some artists simply stay with you.
Olana Light
IG
is one of them.

In the work of Olana Light, the body is not simply present.
It becomes a point of passage.

The UK-based artist develops a practice that moves between sculpture, performance, moving image, and photography, creating works in which the human being reconnects with the natural world in a direct and almost primordial way.

Many of her actions take place outdoors, among trees, wind, stones, urban and natural landscapes. Through wearable sculptures and performative interventions, the body transforms and becomes part of the environment itself. No longer an observer of nature, but one of its living elements.

What Olana Light creates is a kind of “we-world”, a shared space where individual identity temporarily dissolves into something larger: the relationship between living beings, environment, and imagination.

Her performances rarely seek the protected stage of galleries.
They often unfold in public spaces.

Passersby, residents, and people who were not looking for art suddenly become unexpected witnesses. In this way, Light brings art back into everyday life, overcoming economic and cultural barriers that often separate people from contemporary art spaces.

Her career has been supported by numerous awards and recognitions, including Arts Council England, the CAS Emerging Sculptors Award, the Bute Festival Art Award, and selections in several important international art prizes.

Yet what makes her practice particularly compelling is something deeper.

In Olana Light’s work there is no nostalgia for nature.
There is the awareness that we are nature.

And perhaps today, this simple truth is the most radical one.

At NNC Gallery, we continue to follow and promote artists who build a consistent and meaningful artistic research over time.
Olana Light is one of these voices.

Artists, this is not a visibility contest.
The NNC Gallery Challenge 2026 | March Edition

This independent curatorial project has been developed over the years to support real artistic growth, not algorithmic visibility.

We are not looking for social-friendly images.
We are looking for artistic paths.

The Challenge is open to artists working with
photography, visual arts, hybrid practices, experimentation and personal research.

We are currently seeking artists with 1 to 5 years of active artistic practice.

This call is designed for artists who are developing their language and building a body of work.

Artists with less than one year of practice are not eligible for this selection.

Selected artists may be:

• published in our international magazines
• featured across our digital exhibitions and platforms
• considered for our curated artist program
• shared across our network of curators, collectors, and art critics.

Deadline: March 31, 2026

We are proud to present the official publication of our Collective 23 artist on the NNC Gallery website.

This presentation is the result of long-term monitoring, dialogue and careful evaluation. At NNC Gallery, selection is never immediate. We observe consistency, evolution, discipline and clarity of research before offering our public endorsement.

Today, we introduce her work to collectors, curators, art professionals and to those who wish to bring meaningful contemporary art into their homes.

Her practice demonstrates coherence, aesthetic maturity and a clear visual identity. These are the qualities we look for when we decide to present an artist within our curated platform.

Selected works are now available through NNC Gallery.

As art advisors, we act as mediators and guarantors, ensuring transparency, authenticity and a secure acquisition process.

What happens when an architect stops designing buildings and starts designing pages?
Andrea Cerqueglini Winner Challenge 2021
IG

Cerqueglini works on open notebooks, drawing and writing with black gel pens.
Words become visual rhythm. They are not meant to be read, but to be seen.
A graphic litany, a steady flow that melts across the double page.

His monumental ships and suspended architectures are not objects.
They are existential conditions.

There is something ancient in his gesture.
A contemporary amanuensis transforming the notebook into a secular relic, suspended inside a transparent frame.

We selected Andrea for the formal coherence of his language and the meditative strength of his visual research.

Selected works are available through NNC Gallery.
Contact us for further information.

Andrea is an excellent investment among emerging artists. We are here to guarantee professional mediation in the sales process and to certify the authenticity of his work.

NNC Gallery London
Artist of the Year 2025

Our next virtual exhibition will be dedicated to our Artist of the Year 2025: Frank Boys.

This title is not symbolic. It is earned.

In 2024 we chose not to assign the award to anyone. Not because of a lack of talent, but because we believe recognition must reflect a real journey, consistent presence, and an active dialogue between artist and gallery.

In 2025, we are here. And we are here with Frank Boys.

Each year we select one artist who not only produces a significant body of work, but who actively contributes to the growth of our international community. Presence. Consistency. Exchange. Shared vision.

Within NNC, the path is visible. Follow our monthly selections and then observe, at the end of the year, who has truly grown. The artists who mature, participate, engage and believe in the project remain. Others simply continue their path elsewhere.

Each Collective is the result of a serious selection process, renewed every year.

Frank distinguished himself through dedication, steady growth and authentic involvement. He did not simply exhibit. He worked consistently, supported the project and built relationships.

As Artist of the Year 2025, he will receive:
• A dedicated catalogue
• A promoted virtual solo exhibition
• International visibility through our platforms and partner events

What we are building is not a fast system. It is a new path for art. Slow, sometimes misaligned with the louder mechanisms of the web, but solid.

Today many platforms promise immediate visibility. The digital art market is expanding rapidly and, like any accelerated growth, it can create illusions of value. We choose continuity, quality and long-term relationships.

Collectors and art professionals recognize and appreciate this approach: coherence, careful selection and the construction of real value.

We believe that artists who work with consistency will become real voices in the future art ecosystem, not temporary names passing through the digital flow.

At NNC we work with a limited number of artists and we truly go deep into the underground. Commitment is visible. Growth is visible.

New selections are now open.

NNC Gallery London
Empowering artists. Celebrating commitment.

There are artists who explain. And then there are artists who activate.
Juan González Iglesias belongs to the second category.

Winner of our 2023 Challenge, Juan brought into NNC Gallery a rare energy: a language that feels at once ritualistic and digital, tribal and cybernetic, childlike and initiatory. His works do not offer fixed keys or predefined meanings. They offer vibrations. Signs. Fields of resonance.

At the age of 29, he experienced a spiritual awakening that did not translate into conventional mystical aesthetics, but into something far more compelling: the fusion of spirituality and pop culture. Films, video games, music, magazines. For him, light did not arrive in silence on a mountain. It arrived through screens, sounds, and icons. And that is precisely where he chose to work.

Today, his practice has reached a solid and coherent synthesis. After experimenting with different techniques, he chose a simple tool: markers on paper. Like a child drawing at school. And it is exactly this apparent simplicity that becomes radical. No technical fetishism. No over-structuring. Just gesture, repetition, rhythm.

His compositions are explosions of color and intuition. Visionary universes where abstract forms, almost botanical or cosmic, intertwine with symbols, portals, and signs that suggest inner transformation. Every line is both game and revelation. Within the apparent chaos, an energetic order emerges, a choreography of signs that does not ask to be decoded but to be experienced.

Juan speaks of spiritual growth without strain. It is not about deep thinking or complex concepts. It is about exposure. Stimulus. Play. Like an inner video game where certain inputs generate subtle yet real shifts. His works function as visual meditations: dense, hypnotic, layered. Instinctive yet powerful.

In a time when spirituality is often commercialized or over-intellectualized, Iglesias returns everything to drawing. He draws what he feels. And what he feels becomes a field of resonance for those who look.

The works through which he was selected for the Challenge are presented via NNC Gallery. The artist’s current production can be verified directly through his official contacts. As art advisors, we are available to accompany and guarantee any acquisition, ensuring a transparent and secure process.

We work with a limited number of artists. We truly go deep into the underground.

Juan González Iglesias does not propose a message.
He opens a space.

And within that space, something begins to move.
