Handmade Christmas at Newark Park — and there are only a few spaces left… 🎄

This November, we’re bringing around 40 carefully selected British designer-makers together inside the beautiful historic rooms of Newark Park, in collaboration with the National Trust.

It’s Christmas shopping with a difference — no rows of market stalls, but makers beautifully presented throughout the house, alongside artisan food and drink, live craft demonstrations, seasonal workshops and a house dressed for Christmas.

For makers, it’s a chance to showcase your work in a beautiful heritage setting, meet new customers, sell directly, and be part of a carefully curated Christmas event promoted by both Handmade in Britain and the National Trust.

The weekend starts with a Preview Afternoon on Friday 20 November, giving makers the opportunity to meet visitors and start the weekend with early Christmas shoppers, followed by the public event on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November.

ONLY A FEW EXHIBITOR SPACES REMAIN.
Applications are open now — apply today to showcase your work at Handmade Christmas at Newark Park.

The Quiet Luxury of Collectible Ceramics...

The right piece of ceramic can change a room. A curious silhouette on a console, a beautifully marked surface catching the light, a vessel that makes you stop and look twice.

From experimental firing and rich textures to the maker’s hand, each piece has its own character. Made to live with, display and collect, these are objects that bring personality to an interior.

At the 19th edition of Handmade Chelsea, we’re looking at four makers bringing very different perspectives to contemporary clay:

elanasabharwalceramics – Hand-built forms exploring connection, communication, slowness and care.

Kathryn Jane – Nature-inspired forms transformed through smoke and saggar firing.

Natcha Kucita Ceramics – Textured vessels capturing the rhythm and energy of urban life.

Ana David – Wabi-sabi forms shaped by fire, memory and imperfection.

From experimental firing and richly textured surfaces to the unmistakable marks of the maker’s hand, each brings a distinctive character to their work.

Handmade Chelsea returns to Chelsea Old Town Hall, 12–14 November 2026, bringing together over 120 contemporary designer-makers across jewellery, fashion, ceramics, furniture, scarves, bags, homeware and more.

Early Bird Tickets are now live — book now and save.

Ceramic makers: there are also just 3 spaces remaining to exhibit at this year’s fair.

Beyond the Season: Fashion Made Differently
In a world of ever-changing trends, there’s something rather appealing about finding pieces with staying power.
Fashion is becoming more considered — with an appreciation for beautiful materials, thoughtful design and pieces that feel more personal. A beautifully made hat, an intricately pleated scarf, a one-off knit or a luxurious dressing gown can become part of your wardrobe for years, rather than simply another season.

At the 19th edition of Handmade Chelsea, we’re shining a light on makers creating fashion beyond the traditional seasonal cycle. Independent, handmade and designed with longevity in mind, these are pieces to wear, enjoy and keep.

Meet five makers bringing their distinctive approach to contemporary fashion:

– Luxurious floor-length dressing gowns made from natural materials.

Elena Shvab Millinery – Bespoke luxury hats handmade in London for every occasion.

– Innovative 3D pleated scarves and wraps with sculptural elegance.

Penny Burdett Designer Knitwear– One-off knitwear, mohair coats and ArtKnit pieces in colour.

– Hand-printed and pleated textiles inspired by nature, colour and light.

With over 120 contemporary designer-makers, Handmade Chelsea returns to , King’s Road, 12–14 November 2026, with our Preview Evening on Wednesday 11 November.

Early Bird Tickets are now live — book now and save.

The New Faces You’ll Want to Know at Handmade Chelsea..

Some names you may know, and some you may be meeting for the first time. Our Emerging Makers section has grown year on year, and this November 16 talented designer-makers will have their own dedicated space at Handmade Chelsea.

Created in 2023, the initiative gives talented early-career designer-makers a professional platform and the opportunity to meet collectors, interior designers, galleries and our discerning visitors.

We’re starting with five names we think you’ll want to keep an eye on:

Stephanie Mequillet – Thrown and hand-built stoneware and porcelain, both decorative and functional.

Sara Burnand – Etched brass botanical ornaments designed to bring character to plants.

RK Ceramics – Kinetic ceramics by Rachel Karasik exploring movement, patience and the slower side of making.

ISABELLE WARD • JEWELLERY – Timeless fine jewellery handcrafted by hand, inspired by nature’s organic beauty.

House of Embers – Artisanal knives bringing together beauty,
performance and considered living.

Two months on… and we’re still thinking about Handmade Oxford.

It’s hard to believe that two months have passed since we welcomed visitors to Waterperry Gardens for the 6th edition of Handmade Oxford.

But somehow, we can still picture it — A huge shout-out to every exhibitor who brought their work, ideas and enthusiasm to the festival — and to all our workshop hosts and demonstrators who gave visitors the opportunity to try something new and see the making process up close.

And while the tents have come down and Waterperry has returned to normal, we’re still missing the atmosphere.
Now, we’re looking ahead to Handmade Oxford 2027.

Key Dates
11–13 June 2027
Waterperry Gardens

Applications are now open for the 7th edition, and we’re already working on new perspectives, new ideas and exciting additions to the show.

We can’t wait to share more of what we have in store for 2027.

Will we see you there?

Diamonds are a girl’s best friend… but handmade can be too.

We all have our favourites — perhaps a beautiful handmade diamond ring, the summer necklace you never take off, a hand-felted jacket that becomes your signature, the leather bag that goes everywhere, or a hand-carved comb you simply love using.

Call them favourites, companions or, as we like to think, handmade soul mates. ❤️

Meet five more makers making their Handmade Chelsea debut, bringing plenty of new soul mates to choose from:

Lucy Martin – Small-batch fine jewellery handcrafted in London, celebrating individuality.
RUBY CREAGH – Contemporary leather bags, hand-stitched to last for years.
Sally Underwood – Bold, sustainable felted knitwear creating contemporary wearable art.
Lena Shoulga - Distinctive statement jewellery combining vintage, tribal and contemporary elements.
– Beautifully carved objects celebrating wood, grain and craftsmanship.

With over 120 contemporary designer-makers, Handmade Chelsea returns to Chelsea Old Town Hall, 12–14 November 2026, with our Preview Evening on Wednesday 11 November.

Limited Collectors’ Edition Tickets remain — save £6 and book now.

Which one could become your next handmade soul mate?

A Christmas setting like no other…

Yesterday, we visited the beautiful Newark Park - National Trust and it was easy to see why this special place felt like the perfect home for our first Handmade Christmas at Newark Park.

With breathtaking views across the Gloucestershire countryside, beautiful historic rooms, and so much character around every corner, we cannot wait to bring this festive event to life in collaboration with the National Trust.

This will be a very different kind of Christmas fair. Rather than a traditional market, the house will become a carefully curated celebration of craftsmanship, with 40 selected British designer-makers showcasing their work throughout the historic interiors.

Visitors will be able to explore beautiful handmade gifts, meet the makers behind the work, enjoy artisan food and drink, watch live craft demonstrations, take part in workshops, and experience the house dressed for Christmas. Entry will be free for all National Trust members

We are excited to create something truly special at Newark Park — a new festive experience bringing together craftsmanship, creativity, and the magic of Christmas.

Tale of 2 Backgrounds - which one speaks to you ? As we continue preparing for the 19th edition of Handmade Chelsea, we’re sharing another glimpse from last week’s photoshoot.

We’re naturally leaning towards one of these looks for this year’s campaign, but before we make the final choice, we’d love to hear what you think.

Does the dark background bring a sense of drama and depth, or does the light backdrop let the craftsmanship take centre stage?

Tell us in the comments—which would you choose?

Handmade Chelsea returns to Chelsea Old Town Hall from 12–14 November, with the Preview Evening on Wednesday 11 November, bringing together over 120 carefully selected designer-makers across contemporary craft.

We’re also welcoming applications for a limited number of remaining exhibiting spaces.
