The entertainment industry celebrates one of its finest today. Jean-Paul Maunick, better known by his stage name "Bluey" is a British guitarist, bandleader, composer and record producer. He has led the British acid jazz band Incognito since its formation in 1979. His record production credits include artists such as Paul Weller, George Benson, Maxi Priest and Terry Callier; he has also collaborated with Stevie Wonder. I have been a fan of Incognito since I was a little girl until as an adult I had the privilege to get to know Bluey. The Incognito rendition of Stevie Wonder hit song " Don't you worry about a thing" is an absolute masterpiece and one of my favorite songs. It is also actually, my current state of mind. Those who follow me know that I have recently accepted a professional training offer in Los Angeles and I have moved across the pond two weeks ago. It has been perhaps the scariest, most difficult career move of my life but I am beginning to feel that it was a good decision as it pushed out of my comfort zone and I start feeling the growth already. And so, when I have a down moment, I always repeat to myself " Don't you worry about a thing". And to those of you who are going through a difficult decision time in your professional life, I also say to you " Don't you worry about a thing" 🙂 Follow your gut, follow your heart and do what feels right to you and what makes you happy, and the rest will eventually will fall into place. And to you Bluey, I say to you my darling Happy Birthday and thank you for inspiring generations all over the world 💙 Happy Sunday everyone and here's a little jem for you 🎶
