I am with you always
a look of love
and wonder,
hand in hand.
soul to soul
with my favourite
wanderer.

Time with you
time without you,
both times could not stand
the test; simply because
you are always with me,
you never left,
you will never be
taken away from me.

The first half of this poem was beautifully started by the gorgeously gifted using writing prompt 15 ‘I am with you always’ and the second half was written by yours truly using writing prompt 11 ‘Taken away from me’.

O death,
you once did scare me,
but,
I’m here with open arms,
not wishing life away,
yet,
ready for when it comes.
Death no longer scares me,
the thought,
no longer makes me numb,
Death is where it starts,
where life finally succumbs…..

This is a poem created from Writing Prompt 4 “O death”

Waiting For Your Smiles
The sun lingers
a little longer
just to see you smile,
it’s worth the wait,
the hours, the miles,
I’ll wait for you,
it’s been a while,
a day is too long,
not to see your smile,
your gaze is worth,
every triumph and trial,
I long to wait,
to see your smile,
so I will linger
like, the river nile,
showing colours
of beauty,
just to see you smile.

Writing Prompt ‘The sun lingers a little longer, just to see you smile’ from a wonderful writer .unheard.unseen

Holding onto things I can’t let go of,
I can’t let go of Hope,
that which drives me
to face another day,
despite what I see or feel,
Hope drives me to stay,
despite the pain,
Hope says
“believe, have faith”…….

Poem inspired from brilliant April writing prompts!

“Holding it Together”
Much like this asparagus,
we’re taught,
to hold it all together,
when all we need to do
is let it go
just like a feather.

Holding by elastic,
we can stretch
so far and wide,
how far to go until
we spill out,
what is deep inside,
or maybe worse
we’ll snap,
or best,
let go of all our pride,
as holding it together
is what will surely
keep us tied.

This poem was inspired by painting named “A bunch of assparagus”, by a very talented artist I have the pleasure of knowing ,

I love being inspired by artwork and I desire to write more written pieces such as this! 🖼️

Love keeps no records of wrongs,
yet it’s like we keep an internal record of their wrongs,
making a tally, as though it were
three strikes and your out.

Love keeps no record of wrongs,
easy to read aloud to a crowd,
until your faced with
the very test of:

‘Practice what you preach’,
and so you teach,
yourself and I guess
others around you,
over and over again.
until you pass the test.

The sweet taste
of friendship,
sometimes is when
no words are said,
all it takes is one look,
into your friends eyes,
to read what they need,
in that moment,
often, its’
not your words,
neither your ears.
Yet, it is your touch,
your heart, your soul,
your love, your warmth.
To have and to hold,
to hold and to be held,
leaves both full
in the end,
to know you, I,
could be there,
with a simple touch,
as your friend.

Today I’m holding onto eternity, Jesus has RISEN!!!

There once was a man,
who sat in the subway,
appearing homeless,
on London Park Lane,
he sat there weeping,
with great depth of sorrow,
he wept as though,
there was no tomorrow,
people passed him by,
as he continued to cry,
until a girl walked by,
she stopped.
And asked herself why,
why did her heart beat?
beat. beat. beat. beat. beat.
Beat for this guy?
She knelt down as he cried…..
