Selling my Lola (Sea Breeze)

16.1hh Grey Mare | 18 Years | Proven BE100 Event Mare

Five-star home sought

It is with an incredibly heavy heart that I offer Lola (Sea Breeze) for sale.

Lola is a quality 16.1hh grey mare by Igguldon Skye Laird, with a proven British Eventing record to BE100, including multiple top-10 placings. She has years of competition experience and is beautifully educated on the flat, with established lateral work and all the dressage movements. She has a lovely, kind nature, enjoys having a job, and is still in regular work.

Lola is not a novice ride. As an experienced competition horse, she is forward-going, responsive and enjoys a confident, competent rider who will appreciate her education. She would suit someone looking for an experienced partner to enjoy dressage, hacking and low-level competition.

Highlights

* 16.1hh grey mare
* 18 years old
* By Igguldon Skye Laird
* Proven British Eventing record to BE100
* Multiple top-10 placings
* Beautifully established on the flat
* Knows all the lateral work and dressage movements
* Still in regular work
* Enjoys hacking and loves having a job

Does require some maintenance which I am happy to discuss with potential buyers .
Lola also windsucks.

This is a genuinely heartbreaking decision. Lola has given me so much over the years and owes me nothing. I am in no rush to sell and will wait for the right person who will love and appreciate her as much as I do.

Knowledgeable, experienced homes only. Serious enquiries welcome.

What a magical weekend it was celebrating the beautiful union of and , who finally tied the knot, and the opening of their extraordinary new artist residency, Château Val Croissant GRIMM

Nestled in the heart of Provence, the château became a gathering place for an eclectic and inspiring mix of friends, artists, collectors, dreamers, and a few lovable oddballs 😂. The conversations flowed as freely as the wine, creativity filled every corner, and laughter echoed through the gardens long into the evening.

There was something truly special about witnessing not only the beginning of a marriage but also the birth of a new chapter for this remarkable space—a place destined to bring together art, culture, friendship, and imagination.

Thank you, Hannah and Jorg, for your warmth, generosity, and vision. Here’s to a lifetime of love, unforgettable gatherings, and many more magical moments at Château Val Croissant.

My work, This is How We Win Wars (2018–ongoing), is currently on view in Ghostland at Fotografia Europea 2026.

The work is formed around an ongoing collection of online videos showing soldiers dancing, often uploaded by the soldiers themselves. Drawn from different countries, cultures, and conflicts, these videos reveal something deeply human that exists beyond political divisions, national identities, and the realities of war.

In moments of dance, soldiers momentarily step outside the structures of military life to express joy, vulnerability, camaraderie, longing, and grief. Despite the different conflicts they inhabit, their gestures and emotions often feel strikingly familiar. The work reflects on the relationship between ritual, war, and trauma, while reminding us of a shared humanity that persists even within systems of violence.

I’m honored to be part of Ghostland, curated by Arianna Catania, which brings together artists whose practices explore memory, surveillance, identity, and the increasingly blurred boundaries between the physical and virtual worlds.

📍 Palazzo da Mosto, Reggio Emilia
📅 Until 14 June 2026

Thank you to Arianna Catania, the Fotografia Europea team, and my fellow exhibiting artists.

What an extraordinary honour to attend this historic annual dinner at the Royal Academy.

To be in a room filled with such remarkable people: artists, patrons, supporters, and visionaries who have dedicated their lives to the arts and culture, whether through making, championing, or supporting creative work, was truly inspiring.

A particular highlight was the beautiful speech by William Kentridge, who reflected on the magic, mystery, and importance of the studio space. His words were a powerful reminder of why creativity matters and how vital it is to protect the places where ideas are born.

The evening was full of wisdom, inspiration, and fascinating conversations, with a healthy dose of mischief and laughter provided by my table neighbour for the evening, Grayson Perry.

A truly magical night celebrating the enduring power of art, culture, and the people who dedicate their lives to both.

I had the privilege of hosting Camilla and Marc at my home while Camilla was in town. Beyond admiring the brand for years, what left the biggest impression on me was the people behind it. Their commitment to empowering women extends far beyond fashion. Through the CAMILLA AND MARC Foundation and their ‘Ovaries. Talk About Them.’ campaign, they are helping fund life-changing ovarian cancer research and advocating for better outcomes for women worldwide. It’s rare to see a brand so deeply connected to a purpose, and even rarer to meet founders whose values genuinely align with the work they do. I left feeling inspired not only by their creativity but by their compassion and dedication to making a difference.
