This year, for the fourth time, Hanitra, who is from Madagascar and lives on La Reunion, is coming to perform her beautiful songs for us: Hanitra at Tuned In London.

She will also be performing two intimate gigs in East Sussex, the first at Day’s Books and Records in Forest Row, near East Grinstead, (ticket link to follow) and the second at Goat Ledge, on the beach in St Leonards-on-Sea.

Listen out for Bowjangles on BBC Radio 3 tomorrow. It’s been several years now but we had them perform at the Brunel Museum and they are so fantastic!

Exciting news! We’re going to be live on BBC Radio 3 tomorrow morning performing a couple of pieces - including an original Bertie Anderson Haggart song AND a new never before heard arrangement of some classics that she’s been working on. Tune in somewhere between 8-9am for the music and an interview - we’ll be coming live from the great outdoors on Cromer pier!

Then later on this week the weather looks like it’s shaping up to be a perfect evening in the woods Thorington Theatre on Friday - we’ll be instagramming everything from there because it’s so darn beautiful.

Dear friends - We’re making a new album! We can hardly believe it ourselves. This will be our first album in 10 years. A lot has changed since our last recording: new band members, moves to different countries, many adventures...

Last week we recorded 12 tracks of Yiddish songs and instrumentals from across Eastern Europe - Moldova, Hungary and Ukraine - alongside some Yiddish Swing hits from 1950s New York. We can't wait to share this music with you!

Would you like to help us make it happen?

We are living in 3 different countries so even getting together is costly. But making an album is expensive and it's not possible to make the money back these days because we all expect music to be FREE. So, we've launched a crowdfunding campaign to help cover the studio and mixing costs. There are some lovely rewards to pick from, including the future CD signed by all of us, and an arrangement of Indra's beautiful Dunika Waltz.
