Join us for a one-off screening of Paradise (2022), followed by a conversation between the film’s directors, Calla Henkel and Max Pitegoff on 9 September 🎬

Across four 16mm films, Paradise unfolds in a fictional Berlin bar, shot over three years at Henkel and Pitegoff’s real-life establishment, TV Bar. Blurring fiction and documentary, the series draws on the lived reality of the bar to imagine a dystopian near-future.

Klein has performed everywhere from museums and galleries to yards, squats and pubs, including the infamous Old Blue Last and New Cross Inn. This September, she brings her elusive, genre-defying work to the ICA.

An artist and musician whose work blurs the lines between fact and fiction, Klein’s music, films and performances draw on urban mapping, surveillance, humour, hip-hop, noise, identity and beyond.
