Save the date!!!
We’re very excited to announce the next Influences Event, taking place on 28th February 2025 at Lightbox.

We’ve put together a wicked line up of selecta’s that understand the Influences ethos - a celebration of the sonic roots that formed the heartbeat of Jungle.

All the DJs will be bringing their unique styles & vibes of what that means to them.

We’re especially excited to have Equinox making his debut with us. His record collection is incredible so we’re in for an absolute treat (and probably an education to be honest!) One for the heads.

This was such a good night once again at Planet Wax and I've now put up the audio of my set from our Influences night back in October so I thought I'd share it here for anyone that wants to give it a listen. The audio is taken from the shop so it has a bit of interference but nothing major.

Instead of writing out a track list, I've made a video and rough edit of the tunes in the order they were played.

Having first gone to an AKO night back in 2019 when it was at Bar 512, it became a night I loved for the music but also for the many great connections I made along the way. It truly gave me that sense of visiting family every time I went.

For me, it is one of the GO TO nights in the raving calendar, especially for Halloween, so to now be on this crazy lineup is 🤯 😱 I keep looking at the flyer thinking WOW, what a great design again Malx Ricky George 👏🏽👏🏽 and obviously for the names I'll be sharing the DJ booth with.

Big up David Stretch for giving me the opportunity to make my AKO debut and represent 👊🏾

I hope to see as many of you as possible and make it another Akoween to remember 👻👹👾👽

Now that summer is done, it's time to get back onto the carousel and this time I'll be joined by the very talented Sheba Q 🥳🥳

I remember first seeing her playing a set at Planet Wax few years back at the old store not knowing who she was but over a short space of time it was hard not to see her name on various lineups. I recall her set at Rupture being one of my favourite ones of the night.

Not only a DJ, but a vocalist, producer and probably other things I'm not even aware of. It's a show I'm very excited for and intrigued about because I know she can come with many different flavours.
