2. I usually hate the first layer of paint but this wasn’t too bad lol

4. It took me just over 3 weeks to complete the drawing stage

I’ve been testing and experimenting with white backgrounds..

I used to think that white backgrounds left an unfinished element to my work. But there is something about a plain background that actually helps bring depth and focus to a piece. It centres the piece. Gives it a new form of attention.

Anyways besides all the critical thinking, I think it’s cool and bold and expressive.

So I am finally showing you a bigger version of what my collaboration piece with looked like before he worked on top of it.

I created this version first. I love looking at this stage, the pastel colours and clouds are really my theme. It’s interesting to see how much the piece developed when Deji put his mythical twist on it.

Also it feels good to be posting again. It’s been so long.

Okay so I officially love creating these visual mood boards. This is the mood board for one of my next pieces 📸 What do you think?

Also, it’s crazy how I see subtle references to “The creation of Adam” in this piece. That was definitely created unconsciously. Do you see it? The touch of the elbow and the leaf 🤔😅

It’s Thursday, so I’m throwing it back to my collaboration piece with 🤍
Looking at these side by side is so cool to me! I remember feeling so relaxed making the base of the piece (on the left) as I knew Deji would do something vibrant, fun and mythical.
This was definitely one of my favourite collabs. I can’t believe it’s nearly been a year already.

I’ve also always hated the thought of seeing my work at such a small size, but I actually like it. What do you think of this size? 🧡

Last week I took part in this amazing group exhibition for black history month, “PRESENTATIONS: A Celebration Of Black Art” which opened from 1st - 5th Nov at commissioned by curated by assisted by & .ince.interiors

Art fair photo dump at 🎨

I thoroughly enjoyed this exhibition - I love a longggg exhibition where I can network and meet some of the artists or gallery representatives! I also took my twin with me, so you can imagine the constant “are you twins?” question haha.
My camera roll is filled with videos and images so expect there to be about 2 more posts surrounding the day! But for now, these are some of my favourites.

I made this moodboard months ago when I was trying to create whilst stressed. I think it’s such a good way to stay creative without any extra pressure.

Also, a lot of you have been asking me where I’ve been or how I am.
I appreciate it so much and will share more things soon. But for now just know I am starting to really feel a lot better and a lot more motivated! 🤍🎨 onwards and upwards baby.

WHICH IS YOUR FAVOURITE? 👀
Swipe for some Edgar Degas’ “After the bath” series inspired performance / photography shots. 📸

I know I’ve been a bit M.I.A. I needed to take some time away from the gram! I haven’t neglected my art though so stay tuned for all that!
Shall I add these to the shop?
