Following on from my previous post here is a short unedited video at the first play stage so no electronic reg few sticking notes and so on all to be sorted and the dealer is taking it back for fine regulation. Excuse the finger over the lens and pump noise in the background, this was a rush Job! The dealer, previously a concert pianist said he was surprised how well it played, dread to think how many hours he spent over the recent bank holiday weekend to meet the deadline, however client delighted we were able to pull all the stops out for the opening.

Here’s an interesting self play install, I had a call from a southwest dealer I last spoke to over 25 years ago, he needed a self play fitted to meet a deadline for a well known Piccadilly hotel revamping the dining area and it had to be ready for the grand re opening on the 26th May, the only catch as usual the tight budget ruled out a new piano so the dealer found a older Samick and spent every hour refurbing inside and out. We helped out by repainting the underside and cleaning up the brass work while we had on the floor. We made the deadline and I have just had feedback from the dealer, the Hotel are over the moon with the piano and self playing system and the high gloss white fits in perfectly with the new decor in that area.of a popular Hotel.

Just completed this lovely little new 118 Boston PE in high gloss Walnut from Steinway Hall. Since the PE models came into the Boston range it’s got a bit tighter to fit the stop rail, however we have solutions as in this case we change drum screws in the break for grub screws to gain space. Now fitted with the market leading Adsilent 2 silent system the client is looking forward to practising with without disturbing family.

First piano going home in 2026 is this Steinway Mod D for a concert pianist now fitted with the excellent Adsilent 2 silent system with the Pro rail add on, vital for a pro pianist as no changes to the action are required maintaining the factory set up. It’s quite unusual to fit to a 9ft grand infact it’s a first for us we normally fit to the artist smaller practice grand or upright but this is his practice piano! D
