Just completed this lovely little new 118 Boston PE in high gloss Walnut from Steinway Hall. Since the PE models came into the Boston range it’s got a bit tighter to fit the stop rail, however we have solutions as in this case we change drum screws in the break for grub screws to gain space. Now fitted with the market leading Adsilent 2 silent system the client is looking forward to practising with without disturbing family.

Our second player install of the new year is the ever popular Yamaha GB1, this one supplied by our friends at Chamberlain Music for a local Northamptonshire client. Fitted with the Prodigy II self play system, Bluetooth controlled via the included 11" Apple iPad, plus for vocals and accompaniment our unique black edition quality Bose speakers. First piano going home in 2026 is this Steinway Mod D for a concert pianist now fitted with the excellent Adsilent 2 silent system with the Pro rail add on, vital for a pro pianist as no changes to the action are required maintaining the factory set up. It’s quite unusual to fit to a 9ft grand infact it’s a first for us we normally fit to the artist smaller practice grand or upright but this is his practice piano! D

Do you have a older self playing piano that takes older media? Units like the PianoDisc 128 and 128+ take floppy discs the same type that were used in early computer drives and the CFX 228 which takes CDs and Floppy discs, both are almost impossible to get now. If your system is working but it’s frustrating only having a very limited amount of discs in some cases clients only have the original 5 discs supplied with the system!! Well we have a good selection of both types in many cases brand new at the time we acquired them some are used that came in with systems that we upgraded to iPad Bluetooth systems. Give us a call or message and we can see if we have your choice in our collection at discounted prices. All are genuine PianoDisc products beware of cheap fakes on auction sites. Not guaranteed to work in other pianos like Yamaha Diskclavier.

Been a while since my last post so here is a Yamaha C2 just completed now fitted with the Adsilent Pro silent system. Space for the pro mechanism was very tight but with a few tweaks we just made it. Very strange the outside of the piano is pristine and very shiny obviously well cared for, but strangely the inside was so dirty and thick with dust you could not see the red check string pads or soundboard transfer! Maybe 20 or more years dirt! So could not stand to look at that so gave it a bloody good clean out inc pedals/locks polish up etc. Wonder who the tuner is who sits there looking at all that dirt while tuning? Love to see the clients face when he opens the lid. As it’s a pro not one adjustment was needed to the action a game changer in silents 100% effective. Next a Steinway Mod S grand and possibily a Bluthner style IV normally impossible to get in so onsite survey this weekend to confirm. Should be interesting.

Our latest Self Playing install is a little unusual, not only is it the smallest upright piano at 122cm that can accommodate a self play system its also a very affordable instrument from a quality brand. At special request from the client who has a Kawai GL10 player we installed 10 years ago for his Lagos home that still working well, he wanted the same for his UK apartment. but with limited space it had to be an upright, we suggested the K300 as we have fitted to this model in 2016 for a certain world famous band as the lead singers stage piano, their set includes some well known tracks that use the self play system, still going strong after several world tours a testimony to the quality of our install, Recently came in for its annual service before they kick off their UK tour at Wembley in August 2025. At current Spring 2025 prices this combination of K300 with Prodigy II self play with Bose speaker pair, generous music package and delivery (subject to postcode) comes in just under £15K a great value package. The last player install of 2024 is this fabulous Steinway Model B grand, now fitted with the Prodigy 2 Bluetooth controlled self play system. Delivered in good time for Christmas and sits in pride of place near the Christmas tree playing seasonal music in the atrium of a central London financial offices complex. One of the more popular Yamaha models for the addition of a silent system. This Yamaha approved reconditioned U30 supplied by our friends at Bonners Music in Milton Keynes is now fitted with the market leading Adsilent 2 silent system. The London client has now taken delivery and is delighted he can practice at any hour and make full use of the midi features.
