The Addison Group of Singers

The Addison Group of Singers Founded in 1970, we're a West London based group dedicated to helping people sing and enjoy music Rehearsals are on Monday evenings between 8pm and 9.30pm.

The Addison Singers comprises four choirs: Two classical choirs – an auditioned Chamber Choir and larger non-auditioned Oratorio Choir, and two jazz choirs – an auditioned Jazz Ensemble and a larger non-auditioned all-female Jazz Choir. It also offers three different singing classes to meet the needs of beginners, intermediate and the more competent, experienced singer. JAZZ:
The JAZZ ENSEMBLE is

a small, mixed voice singing group for more experienced singers and entry is by informal audition. The all female JAZZ CHOIR has approx 45 members and is open to women of all abilities. Rehearsals are on Monday evenings between 6.30pm and 8pm. Both groups explore songs from the 1930s onwards, plus some popular music. CLASSICAL:
The Oratorio Choir is a non-auditioned mixed choir of approximately 80-100 singers, open to all singers, that performs much of the standard repertoire as well as a wide range of new and more recent music, including several works written especially for them. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. The Chamber Choir is a small mixed choir of approximately 30 members for skilled singers exploring a varied repertoire from the Renaissance to the present day. A high level of commitment and rehearsal attendance and practice at home is expected. Entry is by informal audition with the Musical Director. Do you want to join a choir? We have four to choose from - Jazz Choir, Jazz Ensemble, Oratorio Choir and Chamber Choir.

If you are a proficient singer with perfect pitch and whip-smart sight singing, we need you! Or perhaps you are an enthusiastic singer looking to take your singing beyond the shower, there's a place for you here!

We have two auditioned choirs (Jazz Ensemble and Chamber Choir) and two non-auditioned (Oratorio and Jazz Choir).

If you are finding your feet with singing, don't worry! There are plenty of confident singers in all choirs, who will carry you along. Just follow them and you'll be fine!
