Volta45 uploaded "Boogie Down Ghana circa 1981-1990"

12 exclusive cuts showcasing the evolution highlife. The sound was definitely influenced more by disco and boogie scene in the 80s. Technology played a massive part in the shaping of the sound but the musicians still held on tight to the basic fundamental principles of highlife.

Wauw wauw!! What a night.... Diabel Cissokho nearly blew the roof off, to a completely sold-out full house. Will remember this gig for a long time to come. Very special musical magic, by this soulful singing multi-instrumentalist and his incredibly tight band. Still feeling the buzz... Hopefully more photos to come!
