The Aphasia New Music Group: performances next week!

The Aphasia New Music Group is a collaboration between people with language difficulties acquired after brain injury, family members, professional musicians and producers, and speech and language therapists. It is produced by Oedipa in collaboration with Second Movement and the UCL Communications Clinic.

The project has developed our understanding of the impact of creative group work on the communication skills, social networks, quality of life and well-being of people living with aphasia. We also hope it is enjoyable and inspiring to others.

The group has worked together for six months. We are sharing the music we have made together and talking about the experience next week and we would love you to join us!

Each performance will last around 45 minutes, and everything has been created in the project workshops over the last 6 months and is being performed for the very first time!

The group is performing at 3:30pm and 7pm on Tuesday 6 June 2023 at the Bloomsbury Theatre Studio in London: tickets available here https://www.ucl.ac.uk/culture/whats-on/aphasia-new-music-group

If you can't make it in person we are live streaming both performances on YouTube. To receive a link to join sign up via eventbrite https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/aphasia-new-music-group-tickets-648237715457

Join the livestream to watch the Aphasia New Music Group perform at 3:30pm and 7pm on Tuesday 6 June 2023!
