We had a great time last night at the Westerham Community Hall supporting them and The Orpheus Centre . It was especially nice to see our friend and fellow chorister come to see us, whilst undergoing various treatments for a medical condition which has meant he hasn't been able to rehearse with us for a wee while. We were well received and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Unfortunately, the photos of us singing did not come out as well as we had hoped.

Westerham tomorrow (12th). Really excited about this one!!

ONE TOWN. TWO VENUES. TEN HOURS. GOOD LUCK.🍀

Tomorrow, Westerham asks rather a lot of you.

11am to 5pm — The Green.

The Westerham Country Fayre. Kids fairground, coconut shy, Whip the Cloth, the Scouts BBQ, stalls all the way round and live music through the afternoon, including the Oxted Brass Band.

Same day — St Mary’s Church
The Westerham Horticultural Society Autumn Show. Where the vegetables are judged and reputations are made.

6.30pm doors, 7pm start — Westerham Hall
The London Welsh Rugby Club Choir.

They began in 2003, when four members of London Welsh were working out how to fund a trip to New Zealand for the Lions tour and decided that singing might do it. Forty-four of them ended up going. Since then they’ve sung at the Hong Kong Sevens, a Rugby World Cup, and at the 2012 London Olympics in front of a worldwide audience of more than a billion people!!!

Tomorrow night, they’re in a hall in Kent. We’re quietly delighted about that.😁

Joining them: soloists from the Orpheus Centre — Sir Richard Stilgoe’s performing arts college for young disabled adults, just along the A25 at Godstone — and Sir Richard himself.

Every penny raised goes towards refitting the Westerham Hall kitchen. The hall is run by volunteers and it’s where the town’s clubs, quizzes, lunches and jumbles all happen. That kitchen has earned its retirement.

Tickets £25. Search TicketSource Westerham Hall, or scan the QR code on the A-board outside the hall. Still some left, but not many.

So: coconut shy at noon, prize marrow at three, male voice choir at seven. Anyone who manages all three and is still upright for the last chorus deserves a medal.

The bar opens at 6.30. Plan accordingly.

Well, Bern, you were fantastic, thank you. Our spring mini tour was an incredible experience and a great success, and we met some amazing people and performed in some amazing places. Our special thanks to Ewan Harris at the British Embassy Berne, St Paul's Church, Bern for a wonderful concert, the Hotel Ambassador Bern for the Welsh Night, our friends at Rugby Club Bern for their hospitality and, or course, the various inn-keepers around the Old Town for welcoming us with open arms! Merci vilmal/Dankä!!
