FINAL WEEK – STARTS TOMORROW 🎧🎥🎶

There’s still time to join us.

We’re heading into the final week of Grooveschool’s Create Your Future summer programme in Brixton, running Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday this week.

We’ve still got a small number of spaces available – and you don’t need to have attended the previous weeks to get involved.

Our young people have been making music, DJ mixes, videos and other creative content while working alongside mentors and experiencing real studio productions.

This week is about creating, finishing work and exploring creative-industry opportunities and progression.

🎶 The Never Ending BlissTape 5 with Louie Snacks 🎶

Next up from the Grooveschool studio is Louie Snacks — South London DJ and one of the founding members of Culture Cuts Collective.

Spinning eclectic selections since 2010, Louie has taken his sounds through Omni-Jam nights, skate film festivals, Cosmic Betwixt Cabarets, Movimientos Tropical guest spots and his weekly Blues Kitchen residency.

For this Grooveschool-exclusive BlissTape special, Louie takes us on a rowdy journey under, over and around 160BPM, through Jungle, Footwork and the spaces in between.

One week to go... 🎧

From 4 August we’ll be welcoming a new group of young people into the studio for our Creative Industries Programme, delivered through Lambeth Made: Create Your Future.

Four weeks of DJing, music production, podcasting, photography, video production and digital content creation, alongside creative mentoring and real studio experience.

We can’t wait to get started and share the journey with you.

Starting 4 August, this free four-week programme will give young people the opportunity to explore:

Working alongside Creative Mentors in our Brixton studios, participants will gain hands-on experience, develop creative and employability skills, and build a portfolio through real projects.

This summer, Grooveschool is opening its doors for a FREE four-week Creative Industries Programme, delivered in partnership with Lambeth Made: Create Your Future.

If you're a young person interested in music, media or digital creativity, this is your opportunity to work alongside Creative Mentors in professional studios, gain hands-on experience and create work you're proud of.

You'll have the opportunity to explore:

🎧 DJing
🎹 Music Production
🎙 Podcasting
📸 Photography
🎥 Video Production
🎬 Digital Content Creation

Along the way you'll build creative, digital and employability skills, develop a portfolio of work and, if you'd like to, have the opportunity to work towards recognised accreditation.

Who can apply?

✅ Young people aged 16–19 (or up to 25 for young people with SEND or care experience)

✅ Lambeth residents

✅ Not currently in education, employment or training (NEET)

🎉 Exciting News from Grooveschool! 🎉

We're delighted to announce that Grooveschool has been awarded funding through Lambeth Made to deliver Create Your Future 2026 – a brand new Creative Industries Summer Programme.

This four-week programme will give young people the opportunity to develop practical skills in:

🎧 DJing
🎵 Music Production
🎙️ Podcasting
📹 Content Creation
🤝 Working alongside creative professionals
🎓 Accredited learning and progression opportunities

Rather than learning in a traditional classroom, participants will work in our professional studio spaces, gaining real experience in an active creative environment while building confidence, skills and pathways into education, employment and the creative industries.

A quick Grooveschool update.

As the charity continues to grow, we're currently looking for a Fundraising & Development Trustee to join our board.

We're looking for someone who can help us strengthen the long-term sustainability of the organisation through fundraising, partnerships, sponsorship and strategic development, helping us continue to support young people and communities through DJing, music production, podcasting and creative mentoring.

The role is voluntary and previous trustee experience isn't essential.

If this sounds like you, or if someone comes to mind who might be a good fit, please feel free to get in touch or share the opportunity.

🎶 Peter Dutch (Dutchie) & Joe Dutch | Live from The ArcHive 🎶

A recent session from the Grooveschool studio featuring Peter Dutch (Dutchie) and Joe Dutch.

Many will know Peter as a long-standing figure in the underground scene, renowned for his work as a tech house DJ and producer, while Joe is part of the FUMP collective. Together they share a selection shaped by decades of music, culture and community.

Another addition to the Live from The ArcHive archive, documenting DJs, selectors and community contributors connected to the wider Grooveschool ecosystem.
