Five Collagistes Collective Members were invited to Show in The Kurszan Collage Workshop/Gallery Tent, https://www.facebook.com/SzigetFestival/
in Budapest. Collage was to address the theme "Human Rights" would be printed high - resolution, Shown as A0 size Posters!! (we said, " Yes Please" 😉)
Kovacs Andrea runs Kurszan Collage Workshop/Gallery. She gave us a few facts about the Sziget Festival : "- this year the festival had a Visitor-Record! 565000 people (most of them from abroad), from all around the world 🇬🇧, 🇺🇦, 🇮🇱, 🇳🇱, 🇪🇸, 🇫🇷, 🇩🇪, 🇧🇬, 🇺🇸,etc.
Kurszan Collage Workshop/Gallery Tent was in the ArtZone, with 20 other artist participants including Hungarian National Gallery, Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, and Porticus: monumental light installation!
Apprx. 1,000-1,200 people, with an age range from 3-60 years old, workshopped and visited the KURSZÁN tent exhibiton during the week: Some spent 10 minutes there, others 2 hours :) it is really hard to estimate, they come and go!
We made photos of people with their finished artwork, most of the in fornt of the Posters. There were many people who were interested in buying posters!
(Perhaps Collagistes Collective and Kurszan Collage, together, will be able to make prints available.)
We were busy;
People enjoyed themselves and the Collage on show, while making collage of their own!
We plan to organise another exhibition in the autumn featuring the Sziget Citizens photos, and the collage shown in the Workshop/Gallery."
