Richmond Opera We're a welcoming group of singers and instrumentalists. We present one fully-staged opera and one concert a year, normally from the Baroque period.

And now chorus rehearsals start (all soloists are in the chorus too). Join us with your Messiah score in hand this Wednesday evening 7:30-9:30 at the Vineyard Community Centre (TW10 6AQ) shown.

Just 5 rehearsals and then its the first concert! Will we see you there?

Choral singers - think you can perform a strong Messiah on 5 rehearsals?

Join Richmond Opera from Weds 14th October to Weds 11th November, and join our two concerts of 'Messiah' with baroque orchestra in these stunning venues:
- Sat 14th November at St Mary Magdalene (central Richmond TW9 1SN)
- Sat 28th November at All Saints (Hampton TW12 3RG)

Rehearsals are 7:30-9:30pm at The Vineyard Centre in Richmond TW10 6AQ. Do bring a Messiah score (easy to buy online if you need). No audition for chorus.

Sharing this news about Opera Integra's next project - the 'Faces of Orpheus'

A concert recounting the Orpheus myth (Eurydice's kidnapping, the God's involvement, Orpheus' journey) using various excepts from the many, many versions of the Orpheus myth in opera - Gluck, Monteverdi, Offenbach, Birtwhistle, Peri, Glass etc, etc...

They will attempt to combine many different styles and settings into an evening relating the myth which will allow singers to sing solos/ensembles and choruses in a wide variety of styles . There is a tremendous amount of material to draw from and they are happy for you to suggest what you'd like to have the opportunity to sing. Ideas for ensembles and choruses are particularly welcome.

Regular Thursday rehearsals are from 24th Sept at Rosary School London (7-10pm), leading to 2 performances March 4-6 2027. Subscription fee around £100 to £120.

Just over 2 weeks left to sign up to audition to sing a 'Messiah' solo with Richmond Opera this November! Altos, Tenors, and Basses particularly welcome!

We're giving two concerts of 'Messiah' with baroque orchestra:
- Sat 14th November at St Mary Magdalene in central Richmond TW9 1SN
- Sat 28th November at All Saints in Hampton TW12 3RG

Rehearsals: 5 Wednesday evenings from 14th October to 11th November , 7:30-9:30pm at The Vineyard Centre in Richmond TW10 6AQ

Soloists will be auditioned and will be required to sing in the choruses too (no need to audition if you just want to sing in the chorus).

Audition: Weds 7th October, again at The Vineyard Centre in Richmond TW10 6AQ. Bring the Messiah solo you wish first to be considered for, or else any English-language Handel or baroque aria. Bring music for the accompanist. Auditions are held openly (we all hear each other). Send applications and queries to [email protected] .

Please apply early, with 1st October being the deadline. If you can't make 7th October the panel can consider a video submission sent in advance. All panel decisions are final.
