Yesterday was installation day with the brilliant Sarah Muwanga, as we brought Tethered: Where the Line Holds to life with CasildART.

Even now, we can already sense how special this exhibition is going to be.
There is something quietly powerful about Sarah’s paintings.

Her work is an ode to the in-between spaces women inhabit - the pauses, the silences, the moments of reflection that so often go unseen.

This Friday, Sarah’s debut solo exhibition opens its doors, and we are honoured to be its home.

TETHERED: Where the Line Holds is the debut solo exhibition by British-Ugandan artist Sarah Muwanga, opening to the public on 26 June 2026.

Through a compelling new body of figurative paintings, Sarah explores themes of belonging, grounded presence, resilience, and the quiet strength of holding one’s place in an ever-changing world.

Artist Meet & Greet 14:00 - 16:00 4 July 2026.

In Focus | Kuda Mushangi

London-based artist and architect Kuda Mushangi creates evocative oil paintings that explore migration, memory, and human connection. Drawing on his architectural background, his distinctive visual language combines bold geometry, vibrant colour, and carefully constructed spaces to examine themes of belonging, intimacy, and identity.

Featured here is The Question (Oil on Canvas), a work that exemplifies Mushangi’s ability to balance the deeply personal with the universal.
Mushangi’s recent accolades include recognition from Tate Collective, the Holy Art Gallery Prize, and shortlists for both the Ingram Prize and East London Art Prize.

CasildART is opening its central London gallery space to an artist, artist collectives, independent curators, and nomadic gallerists to curate their own exhibition.

One selected applicant will receive:
- A FREE 7-day exhibition
- Full use of both gallery floors
- Flexible exhibition dates

As a social enterprise, your £57 application donation directly supports independent and underrepresented voices in the arts.
