Back in late ‘18 the Inhabit parties at were well underway. It was around this time I’d heard a duo creating beautiful jazz excursions very much influenced by LDN heavyweights such as Yussef Kamaal. I instantly hit them up to have them perform at one of the parties. Fresh-faced they came through with two extra comrades and lit up the Laylow basement with a stellar performance. It’s been a pleasure to watch them develop throughout 2019 and after hearing news that they’ve been working on some fresh material to showcase in 2020 I knew it was time to get
back in the basement once again. 🪐

After two solid years programming the Inhabit parties at Laylow this will mark the final in the series (for now) whilst I take time to focus on some new ventures (more on this later) I also have and joining me to play records keeping those feet moving until the lights come up 🦶🦶

The mix has been up on channel for a 2 days and the YouTube comments sections is priceless as always. Generally some nice reviews but ‘Old Skool Fool’ isn’t happy. Also I wish I’d have called it ‘Softcore Boot Knockin’’ 🤣 Check it if you have some time ✌🏻 @ On Youtube

Those who tend search the far reaches of YouTube for music are probably familiar with . He has built a crazy following playing that real good ish on wax. I was lucky enough to be his 2nd guest to put a mix together for his channel. Each of his mixes have a theme so I chose to pull a few records of from the rich UK Soundsystem lineage. Although from the more rarer and less obvious ilk. I was never in a Tottenham blues party in the late 80’s but this is kinda how I imagined it sounding. From left-field digi-dub ballads, stone cold Lovers Rock and Street Soul gems. 🇬🇧 Link in the bio
