A very big goodbye to our wonderful Rebecca ❤️

After an incredible chapter as our Head of Corporate, Rebecca is swapping HQ life for a rather exciting adventure travelling around Australia 🇦🇺✨

So many of you will know Rebecca personally, whether from working with her on events, being part of the Party Team, or simply from one of the many brilliant moments she’s been at the heart of over the years.

She has brought so much energy, care, humour and heart to S+G, and HQ really won’t be the same without her. We’re going to miss her enormously, although we’re also very jealous of what’s ahead.

Thank you for everything, Rebecca. For the laughs, the hard work, the chaos, the calm, and all the memories along the way.

Australia is very lucky to have you. Go have the best time ❤️🇦🇺

Whitstable, a row of beach huts, and one rule: every hut gets its own theme, its own game and its own drink 🍸
So before dinner, the whole team hut-hopped down the seafront, one theme at a time. It’s the most on-brand pre-drinks we’ve ever done, and we’ve been doing this for a while.
Turns out the best team away trip starts with a strong itinerary and a stronger sense of play. 🤝

Is the traditional Christmas Party over?

Back 20, even 10 years ago, we would find the Christmas parties, relied heavily on one thing. Alcohol.
But times are changing. Plenty of people love a glass of ch*****ne on arrival, but there are plenty that don’t.

As drinking culture changes and workforces are become more diverse we’ve found a way to create a great atmosphere without the booze. A Christmas party based around play reaches the parts that no drink can.

At Sharky + George, we talk about Belonging and Vitality as tow of the serious benefits of play. The connection that comes from sharing an experience and the energy that comes from becoming completely caught up in it.

If a party has been well designed, a Christmas party will bring people together and alcohol doesn’t have to responsible for making it happen.
