Since 2014, Finnish performance art duo Kainulainen & Latva () have produced a prolific and unique body of work from their profoundly intimate and collaborative dynamic. Informed by narratives of personal trauma, twinned with accounts of Finnish folklore, the work explores neurodivergence, power relations and gender.

Join us for the UK launch of Kainulainen & Latva’s monograph, Globus Hystericus, published in 2025 by publishing house Taide. Katri Kainulainen and Maximilian Latva will give a presentation with documentation video extracts and luscious images of their extraordinary performances that have been presented in both their native Finland and internationally.

Are you a game maker or interdisciplinary creative interested in expanding your game development skills through play and critical exchange?

LADA is collaborating with London Games Festival 2026 to host a Game Jam and Interactive Talk with artists Danielle Brathwaite-Shirley & Symoné.

The Rules of Watching responds to the central theme of spectatorship and agency. The emphasis is on experimentation, collective problem solving and peer exchange, with space to test and reflect on how different modes of play shape relationships between subject, player and viewer.

This DIT will embody the archive with rhythmic repetition, collective listening and performance as modes of inquiry to sit with historical residue and archival absence. As migrant narratives continue to be flattened into data and crisis rhetoric, this lab experiments with a counter-methodology.
