We gave our Cadac A-Series an early 40th anniversary present by changing all the dead capacitors and all the Op-amps to lo-noise ones. It’s taken over a month but the sound is now rock solid and richer/more full than it has every been. As a result we learnt how to solder and built our own Neumann U67 clone that sounds fantastic! Thanks to the Jedi master of sound for all the audio wizardry - we had a great time and couldn’t have even attempted to do this without you! Next stop is putting in a completely modern patch with all the new outboard gear we’ve acquired (to be announced).

We put together a new rack of amazing gear recently and it has been used to mix and master everything that has come through the studio so far this year. Some wonderful new additions to the Bird came in recently. We now have the absolutely ridiculous Three’s as our main monitor system, a 16 voice mind bending Moog One and a gorgeous sr314, for studio recording and live performance. There’s more too, but we’ll talk about that in the next post 😉
