San Diego-based artist, tattooer and collector Thomas Fernández brings together a lifelong obsession with skateboarding, music, vintage culture and all things weird. Working under the name Live Rad Studios, his unmistakable style draws from mid-century kitsch, lowbrow art, monster imagery and the raw, DIY spirit of skate and surf culture. 🛹👹🎸

Fernández’s practice moves freely between illustration, tattooing, painting, graphics and three-dimensional work, with his hand-drawn characters and strange, nostalgic imagery finding their way onto skateboards, clothing, records, posters and more. His work celebrates the odd, the handmade and the unapologetically rad. 👻🖍️🤘

Australian artist Tom Gerrard’s practice explores the relationship between nature, habitat and the built environment, drawing on his roots in street and skate culture. Working across painting, sculpture and ceramics, Gerrard combines aerosol, spray paint and airbrush with bold colour, graphic forms and his signature black outlines. ⛓️🟥

At the heart of Gerrard’s three works in Create & Annoy – Skate & Destroy is wire fencing, a recurring motif within his practice. Across two works on paper and a sculpture that pushes beyond the canvas, chain-link becomes a study of barriers, boundaries and the textures of the urban environment — the same spaces that skateboarders constantly navigate, reinterpret and reclaim.🔳

London-based creative duo Wilson Brothers, Oscar and Ben Wilson, work across design, art, interiors and music, creating objects, environments and experiences that bring together function, play and a strong sense of place. Their practice moves fluidly between bespoke furniture, installations, retail spaces and temporary environments, often drawing on the visual language of skateboarding, street culture and music. 🛹🎶

The brothers have also collaborated with Supreme alongside Brinkworth on the design of its stores internationally, helping create retail environments that feel as much a part of the brand’s culture as the objects within them. Their work on Supreme’s London store incorporated utilitarian materials, bespoke display furniture and sculptural elements, creating a space where architecture, skate culture and art exist side by side.🏙️

For Create & Annoy, the brothers have created skateable benches born from their passion for skateboarding and a desire to make something that could genuinely be ridden. Designed with tricks and movement in mind, the benches sit somewhere between furniture and skate obstacle. 🛹

Rafael Gonzalez grew up in the Panama city skate scene, where he fell in love with not only skateboarding, but also the processes and aesthetics of film photography. Learning from others in the community, he honed his skills and a creative perspective which bloomed around the ubiquitous, and unnoticed elements of urban spaces. Today, skate and photography remain inseparable for Gonzalez as he continues expanding his body of work 📸

“When you’re skating down the street, you’re constantly aware of your surroundings, and that awareness spark(s) a sense of knowing where to look. Applied to photography, it led me to find new opportunities—from angles and compositions that hadn’t occurred to me before.”

‘Street Views’ demonstrates this perspective, sharing the sight of painted paved roads through the eyes of a skater.

Artist and illustrator Todd Francis has consistently been pumping out some of the most well-known artworks in the world of skate graphics since the 80’s. 

Living and working in California, he began his career designing boards for Deluxe Distribution, Real Skateboards, and Stereo Sound agency, after which he was brought on by Julien Stranger to be the lead artist for Antihero Skateboards in the 90’s, where he continues his practice today. Known for a lethal combination of armour-piercing wit and intricate technical detail, Todd’s unique visions can be seen in collaborations with a range of heavyweights, including Vans, Huf, Penthouse and Activision. 

‘N**i Sign’, and ‘N**i Hanging’, are two works which embody his skill, wit, and his drive to maintain the convergence of skate culture with anti-fascist, anti-authoritarian attitudes.

Cody Melick - AKA Pitchgrim, is an illustrator, artist, and the apparel art director for Santa Cruz Skateboards.

Heavily influenced by monster imagery as well as vintage horror comics, he has created a vast landscape of designs, including official artwork for bands and brands ranging from Metallica to the hit TV show Stranger Things. 

‘Dirty Rat’ and ‘Skull Mold’ embody his practice, both disturbing and utterly captivating in their detail and form.

Shepard Fairey is a legendary American muralist and graphic artist, and the man behind the global OBEY street art phenomenon and clothing brand. 

Fairey first came to prominence in 1989 with his now ubiquitous ‘Obey Giant’ sticker campaign, and the self-styled phenomenologist has since gone on to become one of the most recognisable artists of the early 2000’s. 

A ‘skateboard-obsessed art student,’ in his youth, Fairey’s passions and designs were home-grown from the intersecting cultures of DIY, punk, and skate. For Create and Annoy, he brings forth artworks which capture the unyielding energy, and rebellious power of skating while paying homage to the sport which has remained at his side since childhood, and which saw him into the influential position he holds today.
