My mom always cooked good food. But one day she put a burnt cake in front of my father.
Waited to see what my dad would say.
But she quietly ate the cake and asked me how my day went.
So I heard my mom apologize to him for his dinner.
I will never forget his answer.
“Baby, I like your cake. "
Later I asked him if he had told the truth.
He put his arm on my shoulder and said “Your mom had a hard day at work. "
“She was tired, the burnt cake didn’t hurt me, but a sudden word could have hurt her. "
We all make mistakes .
We don't need to focus on mistakes, but support those we love.
