We are sadly announcing the closure of Leisure Island Fun Park on Canvey Seafront.
The site has now been cleared of all rides and facilities.
Can we thank EVERYONE who has supported us over the last 20 years we have been open.
Also can we thank the nearly 3000 members of staff who worked at the park over the years. As everyone knows 95% of our staff were 16 and 17 year olds and started their working life at the park.
It’s so sad we have had to close the park but hopefully we have created loads of memories for the families that visited us.

Tonight there was a fire at Leisure Island Fun Park.
Due to the very quick action of the Fire Brigade the fire was dealt with very quickly.
There was some damage to the park but thankfully know one was hurt or injured.
We did lose our toilet block, First aid room, baby changing area and compactor area but these things can be replaced. The main thing is everyone was safe.
We will be going through our CCTV system to establish how the fire started.

Can we as a family thank everyone for their kind messages, cards, flowers and prayers for our son Charley.
Reading the messages really does help us get through these terrible times as we try and get through each day.
We have made so many fantastic friends at the park and the support we have received is unbelievable.

We are pleased to announce the park will shortly start a refurbishment.
Due to our personal circumstances this will be carried out under the supervision of our new manager.
Our time line is for the park to be ready and open for Easter 2025.
As the work is being carried out there will be photos posted to show the progress being made.
Again can we thank everyone for their support and the kind messages we have received.

As a family we would like to thank everyone that has sent us words of support and to everyone that has respected our privacy during these hard times.
Regarding the refunds for the annual passes we have made arrangement's for the refunds to be available from "The Island Gym" on Charfleets. We will have a member of staff up there every Monday between 2 and 8. This will start from this Monday the 15th of July.
Please bring the cards with you. We are unable to access the computer system from the gym so you will have to bring your cards.
If you dont have your cards you can leave your details with the member of staff and we will then check the system at the park.
As you can gather we are staying totally off of social media and not taking any calls.
We are sorry for the long delay and only hope you can understand our families position with the circumstances we are dealing with.

Unfortunately due to personnel circumstances TOTALLY out of our control the park will be closed for the whole Easter holidays.
We are asking for our family privacy to be respected at these times.

Good morning.
We are offering refunds on the annual passes. we don’t want any of our customers to feel we have treated them unfairly. We have hundreds of pass holds so it will take a short time to process the refunds. We will post in the next couple of days on how the refunds will be processed and refunded.
