The Hampstead Players

The Hampstead Players Amateur theatre company based in Hampstead since 1976. The Players is a diverse group always ready to welcome new members.

Whether you're a budding Actor, Director, Stage Manager or Light and Sound Technician, you'll be welcomed and encouraged to try your hand at a range of activities. Large scale productions are usually staged in July and November, with smaller performances in the spring, and literary hours and play readings throughout the year.

“Well, you want to hear about the [EMMA cast trip to Box Hill], and I shall be happy to tell you, for we all behaved charmingly. Everybody was punctual, everybody in their best looks. Not a tear, and hardly a long face to be seen.”

We enjoyed recreating the Box Hill picnic scene on the hill in question, and thankfully the rain held off (for the most part). 🌂

Welcome to the Hampstead Players Burns Supper, a celebration of the life and poetry of the poet Robert Burns (25 January 1759 – 21 July 1796). Raise a toast to Scotland’s famous bard, and enjoy an evening of music, dancing, haggis and of course Rabbie’s poetry.

We welcome you to join us in the festivities, please bring your favourite snacks and beverages.
