Now in its eleventh London edition, Ballet Nights 011: Convergence, brings together tradition and innovation, presented through a signature blend of intimacy, excellence and ambition.

Ballet Nights 011 unites artists and companies across Europe, Asia, and North America with voices shaping the future of dance in the UK. Classical, contemporary, underground, and international perspectives meet on one stage, reflecting Ballet Nights’ belief in dialogue across generations, geographies, and styles.

Witness Former Royal Ballet Principal Alina Cojucaru OBE alongside World star Denys Cherevychko appearing in iconic repertoire, alongside new voices including Paris-based artist Germain Zambi and English National Ballet choreographer Rentaro Nakaaki.

International perspectives are celebrated with the Ballet Nights debut of Taiwan’s B.DANCE and the first UK appearance by Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, while lineage is honoured through Peter Darrell CBE’s Cheri Pas de Deux, performed by dancers of Birmingham Royal Ballet.

Live music remains central, with house concert pianist Viktor Erik Emanuel joined by Quartet Concrete performing Beethoven’s String Quartet No. 9.

The West End production of The Lightning Thief broke records at The Other Palace earlier this year. Now, fans can finally bring that bolt of stage magic home.
Center Stage Records releases The Lightning Thief: Original London Cast Recording in digital formats on November 7, with a CD edition following on December 12. But this isn’t simply a new recording of familiar material – it’s the most complete version of Rob Rokicki’s score ever captured.

The album features 15 minutes of musical material never before recorded, including updated orchestrations first introduced on Broadway, cut material restored specifically for the London run, expanded vocal moments, and a larger ensemble bringing fresh harmonies to fan favorites like “Lost!,” “D.O.A.,” and “The Day I Got Expelled.”

Max Harwood, fresh from Stranger Things: The First Shadow and the film Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, leads the cast as Percy Jackson. He’s joined by Scott Folan as Grover, Jessica Lee as Annabeth, and a company that includes West End veterans from Six, Dear Evan Hansen, and The Book of Mormon.

The timing couldn’t be better. Percy Jackson mania is reaching new heights with the Disney+ series returning this December and Rick Riordan’s original novel celebrating its 20th anniversary. Meanwhile, the stage musical has become one of the top licensed shows in the Concord Theatricals catalog, with the UK production currently on tour.

When The Lightning Thief opened in the West End, The Times called it “a bolt of stage magic, a show that whisks you to another dimension.” This recording captures exactly that energy – the definitive document of a production that proved demigods belong on the British stage.

Paddington The Musical – Savoy Theatre | Review
"Suspension of disbelief, then, is remarkably easy in a thoroughly engaging and heartwarming production. More joyous than sentimental, it’s a show well worth seeing."

At a time of polarising political rhetoric about those who come to Britain from elsewhere, the arrival of Paddington the Musical in the West End could not have

“Much needed support”: The Royal Ballet and Opera responds to the Budget 2025

Visitor Levy could unlock millions in funding for the performing arts across London and the wider UK.
Nearly 20 million visitors come to London and are drawn by its unbeatable cultural offering.
Alex Beard: “The Visitor Levy has the potential to provide much needed support to cultural infrastructure.”
The Royal Ballet and Opera (RBO) welcomes the Chancellor’s plan to grant Mayors the power to introduce a Visitor Levy in towns and cities across the UK. This has the potential to deliver investment in cultural infrastructure, drive growth, and increase access to the performing arts.

Nearly 20 million people visit London each year and experience its world-class cultural attractions, from major institutions to grassroots organisations. The Royal Ballet and Opera looks forward to working with the Mayor of London to unlock the potential of the performing arts and ensure more people benefit from the creative economy.

Sir Alex Beard, Chief Executive of the Royal Ballet and Opera, said: “Cultural institutions are the backbone of the country’s visitor economy. The Visitor Levy has the potential to provide much needed support to cultural infrastructure in London and right across the UK.”
