Last night I had the pleasure of attending the Private preview of .kapoor .gallery and it was truly mind blowing.

This is a 28 year return. The last time Kapoor filled this building, it was the first major UK survey of his work. What he’s done this time is something else entirely.

He hasn’t just shown work in the Hayward. He has consumed it. Walls. Floors. Ceilings. Outdoor terraces. Every corner of that extraordinary Brutalist building on the Southbank belongs to him until October.

And then there’s the Vantablack.

Sculptures coated in the blackest substance known to science a light absorbing nanotechnology so extreme that three dimensional forms appear completely flat. Not dark. Not shadowy. Gone. Holes in reality. Tears in space. You genuinely cannot trust what you’re seeing.

That’s the thing about Kapoor the blur between sculpture and space, between object and void, between what is there and what isn’t it’s not a trick. It’s the whole philosophical point.

Curated by the legendary in his final show as Director of the Hayward after 20 years, this is a career defining retrospective spanning five decades. It feels like a handover. A monument. A full stop and an opening all at once.

Anish Kapoor. Hayward Gallery. 16 June – 18 October 2026.

Go. Just go.

This is your FIRST LOOK the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2026 the 258th edition. And if you’ve never been, this is the year to start.

I was there today, and I got to meet the man behind it all Ryan Gander OBE RA, this year’s co-ordinator, who has built the entire exhibition around one powerful theme: Interconnectedness. The idea that no matter how different we are, our creative outputs hold more in common than they do apart.
But Ryan didn’t do this alone. The full committee of Royal Academicians who selected every single work are: Eileen Cooper, Michael Craig-Martin, Oona Grimes, Katherine Jones, Goshka Macuga, Humphrey Ocean and Peter St John, who leads the Architecture rooms. These are some of the most respected names in British art. Every work on these walls passed their eye.

And because the theme is Interconnectedness, Ryan has deliberately mixed all media together painting beside sculpture, architecture beside photography, print beside film. A £50 work hanging on the same wall as a £50,000 one. A complete unknown beside a Royal Academician. Everything in conversation with everything else. That is not an accident. That is the point.

Here’s something most people walk straight past. There is a line that runs through the entire exhibition at exactly 2 metres high. Look for it. It has been there since the days when patrons arrived on horseback, and later in top hats — and an artist always knew their work had truly arrived when it was hung above that line. Above the top hats. In full view of everyone in the room. That line is still there today. A quiet nod to 258 years of tradition that most visitors never notice. Now you will.

This is how art collectors start. Not at auction. Not at a private gallery. Here. At the show that has been running every single year since 1769 — open to every artist, every medium, every level of fame. Grayson Perry and a complete unknown. Same walls. Same show. Same chance to be discovered.

Over 1,500 works. Most of them for sale. From £50.

Open 16 June – 23 August. From £23.50 to get in. Under 16s free.

Today I’m at the press private view of Julio Le Parc: Light. Colour. Action at .

This is a show spanning his entire extraordinary career from the 1950s to now. Kinetic sculptures, immersive light installations, geometric paintings that seem to breathe.

Very sadly Julio Le Clerc never made it to London. But his life’s work did…
Save the post to remind you.. This exhibition

I’m excited to share a transformative movement taking root in the UK. Last night, the winner of the “Transformative Power of Art” was unveiled at the Cass Art Prize 2025, hosted at the in Peckham, London.

Out of a staggering 11,000 applications, the main winner emerged —with a bold installation titled “Who Do You Support.”

This year’s exhibition goes beyond showcasing talent; it confronts pressing issues like mental health and societal challenges that often go unspoken … please see tags :)

Experience how artists channel their emotions through diverse mediums, crafting works that left world-renowned judges in awe. From thought-provoking sculptures to heartfelt portraits, these pieces spark important conversations that need to be heard.

This year also introduced four groundbreaking new categories, including “The Over 65,” celebrating the creativity of artists across generations. Congratulations to all the winners!

Join us at the Copeland Gallery until November 1st for an inspiring experience of art as activism.

Don’t forget to cast your vote for the People’s Choice Award! Tell me which artwork resonated with you?

I would like to Invite you to step into the world of Cecil Beaton.

I’m here at the National portrait Gallery with the curator Robin Muir, not only is he
lovely he is the man who is a photographic historian and contributing editor to Vogue. Robin has done an incredible job pulling together this hella collection. In his own words it took nearly 4 years to source assemble and showcase. These are photographs of Hollywood stars and Titans of art to high Society and royalty figures. Prepared to be wowed!!!

Think of iconic personalities from the 20th century like Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Marlon Brando Queen Queen Elizabeth II.

What I find fascinating is how Cecil brings to life the story behind these photographs revealing the experience of these significant figures. He photographed Wallis Simpson the morning she received her divorce papers apparently she was radiant haha and he captured the essence and beauty of Elizabeth Taylor and caught the pain in Marilyn Monroe‘s eyes…

And as the war ensued Cecil served as an official war photographer his photographs are a slive if history.

After the war his work, in my mind just personally speaking as i love musicals it was one of his greatest achievements designing the costumes and sets for the musical “My Fair Lady” both on stage and later on screen.

This exhibition opens today and if you have chance, I highly recommend heading to Larry’s bar afterwards for a signature Cecil Beaton cocktail… 🍸 its finished with a spray of violet mist.. 😁xo

Let me know if you go and share with someone who you would like to go with :)
