It's that time again, I'm sure the years are going quicker, it must be an age thing.
I'm going to make this message a little shorter than last year, first of all, lets get the medical stuff out the way first. As I mentioned in last years post, in June 2024 I suffered a Cerebrovascular Accident and since then I've been doing well, the only real issue has been a lack of dexterity in my right hand, which has effected my ability to play guitar, although I have recorded, and continue to work on getting back to where I was, it's frustrating sometimes. But the good news is that my consultant manage to diagnose my problem as an Atrial Septal Defect (hole in the heart) which I have had from birth. This led to me having a Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO) closure in September.
So onto the music, it's been a busy year, working again with Paul "Mitch" Rudland at AOR BLVD Records, on "Uforia - Stages In Time", "Arrival - The Works Album", "Tora - So Strong", Max Panic - Day Will Come", "GTG - Great Train Graveyard" and finally "Dennis Churchill Dries - Crazy Is This Life" which will be released in 2026.
Onto 2026 and my 60th year around the sun. There will be more AOR BLVD releases to look forward to.... I am recording a new Newman album, currently tracking vocals ..............and working with Ben and Dave on a new Compass album. So there you go.
Thank you to all the people I have worked with, and who have been in contact over the last year, you know who you are, and it's not taken for granted, it's really appreciated.
I hope that everyone has a very Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year !!
