In May, I was invited to capture a very special private event in London as a live sketch artist — a celebration for someone who had just passed the Bar exam.
The evening had such a fun and original concept: part courtroom, part ceremony, part celebration. Guests became “witnesses”, and the whole event played with the idea of a courtroom while keeping it relaxed, personal and full of laughter.
I spent the evening sketching guests, conversations and little moments as they happened — creating quick courtroom-style drawings that captured the character and energy of the room.
For me, live sketching is about more than just drawing a person. It’s about catching a feeling, a reaction, a moment that might otherwise disappear.
It was a pleasure to be part of such a unique celebration and create something personal for guests to take away with them.
