Zai Calliste
English National Ballet

Zai took his first steps in the dance studio at the age of 7 and has been dancing ever since. In 2021 Zai joined the Annette Roselli Dance Academy where he trained full time for two years before joining the English National Ballet School, where he enjoyed performing in the annual summer shows as well as English National Ballet’s My First Ballet: Swan Lake as Prince Siegfried.

Since joining the English National Ballet Zai has been given the opportunity to dance roles such as Demi soloist in George BALANCHINE’s Theme and Variations; Rose Adagio from Sir Kenneth MACMILLAN’s The Sleeping Beauty and notably a Pas De Deux in Crystal PITE’s Body and Soul (part 1).

We are beyond delighted to welcome back Covent Garden Dance firm favourites Ksenia Ovsyanick and Zdenek Konvalina to our Ballet Under the Stars stage.

This star couple will be returning to perform a deeply emotional work; Lightness of Being that Ksenia created via our partner charity, the Dicky Buckle Fund, and has since been performed around the world.

The couple performed together at Hatch House in 2019 as part of the Hatch House 10th anniversary celebrations. This iconic work premiered that year so it was only fitting that it returned to form part of this milestone company celebration of 20 years.

With only a few tickets remaining across the three nights, don’t miss your chance to see this remarkable partnership for the last time at the extraordinary Hatch House.
