Day off reflection time!
At the end of this coming week, my contract Starlight Express reverts back to my original roles of Associate Director and Associate Choreographer. My time as Skate Supervisor comes to an end for this contract. I’m not going to lie, it’s been a hell of a lot of work, but I also have to say, I’ve loved every minute of it. I’m so, so proud of what we have collectively achieved as a team so far this year. Brad Corben Official you’ve been an absolute joy to work so closely with and you should be really proud of yourself. I know Michal would definitely approve! 💯
Our beautiful cast, who I do really love so much, old and new… I am so proud to watch the show. You guys are just phenomenal. New cast, since February you have put your heart and soul into becoming something, I bet you never even dreamed of becoming a year ago. It’s been an honour guiding you all through that journey. And we haven’t finished yet… onwards and upwards. Dame Arlene Phillips can’t wait for your visit next week. 😊
One more week and the Skate Supervisor hat goes back in the box!
Thanks all, it’s been an absolute blast!
MR ✨❤️

Throwing it back to 1998 and the original London production of RENT at The Shaftesbury Theatre. Me as Tom Collins and as Angel. This musical changed me and changed my life. Eternally grateful to and everyone involved in bringing this masterpiece to life. Can’t wait to see the new production that is coming to London.

Backstage at Starlight Express - Original London Production
Krupp - The role that taught me so many lessons. There are no small roles. It’s what you make of them… I’m just 18 years old here. This time of my life was really hard, the only thing that kept my head above water was doing this amazing show, that is still such a huge part of my life and the amazing friends I made along the way. I still had a lot of growing up to do. I had big dreams… if I’d have known then that they were going to come true, I wouldn’t have believed it!
Just keep dreaming kids. You never know who’s on your side! 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿❤️
The person next to me playing Joule is the incredible Saffron who followed her dream and became a big pop star as the lead singer let of the band Republica. Boy did we have fun together!

A partnership that was formed at the last minute and ended up thriving! the first half of this year has been really great working so closely alongside you. You have truly excelled in your new position and It’s been wonderful to witness it up close and personal. I really enjoyed skate school this year in my additional role of skate supervisor. Helping you teach this amazing new cast has been pure joy. I know the work hasn’t finished yet, but I had to make an appreciation post… Love ya, love the whole team I get to work with and of course the incredible people who set foot on that stage every performance! Here’s to more skating joy! ✨✨✨

Well here we are again… Another cast to perform this incredible show that I love so much. Starlight Express, Season 38.
Firstly, what an honour it is to be Associate Director/Choreographer/Skate Supervisor for the unstoppable force, who is my boss, a true mentor and my dear friend, the Dame herself Thank you for every opportunity you have given me since I was 17 years old. I love you. 💯❤️

Well… Today we find ourselves at the last day of skate school and the last run through in the rehearsal studio. 4 months we’ve been rehearsing. 4 months of people pushing their boundaries. Overcoming so many barriers, fears and obstacles. Learning German, coming to grips with English… There have been many tears. Tears from frustration, tears of anger and tears of pain. But there have also been many moments of pure joy. Moments when I have been blown away by the level of talent. All these emotions are necessary to be able to perform in this incredible show that we love so much.
I’m so proud of everyone and what we’ve accomplished here. I feel like we’re going to have another wonderful year
I know when you guys arrived here and watched the show, you were like, “How the hell…?” Look at you now!
Nothing but love for you!!!! Honestly!
Anyway, enough of that… the work doesn’t stop. 😂
Onwards and upwards!
