Is four years today since Deborah Emmanuel was brutally killed in her school in Sokoto by her muslim schoolmates for alleged blasphemy against their prophet. Her body was burnt to ashes by them. The killers made a video of the whole thing, shouting ʾAllāhu ʾakbar (God is the greatest). It has been four years, and the government has not done anything, and it seems everyone has moved on. But we will not forget this horrible death and the role many people played in suppressing this story.
