We are absolutely delighted to introduce the inaugural Jane Goodall Earth Medal Junior Recipient, Aneeshwar Kunchala! 💚

At just 11 years old, Aneeshwar is an extraordinary young conservationist, wildlife presenter, and science communicator! ✨

A recipient of The Diana Award, a holder of three Guinness World Records, and a finalist on Britain’s Got Talent, he has already inspired countless people with his passion for nature and protecting our planet.

When we first met Aneeshwar, we were instantly captivated by his infectious energy, enthusiasm, and dedication to raising awareness of biodiversity loss and climate change. 🌍

Aneeshwar embodies the very values that Dr. Jane Goodall dedicated her life to: loving and respecting nature, caring for all living creatures, and using our voices to make a positive difference for our planet. 🌱

Dear Aneeshwar, we cannot wait to see what the future holds for you, and we have no doubt that you will continue to inspire generations to come! ✨

Congratulations, dear Aneeshwar! 💙

Congratulations to Prof. Brian Cox, recipient of the 2026 Stephen Hawking Medal for Science Communication. ✨

Presented on 2 October at the Royal Astronomical Society in London, the medal recognises Brian’s remarkable contribution to bringing science to global audiences.

A longtime member of the STARMUS community, Brian has inspired millions through his work as a physicist, broadcaster and science communicator — continuing the spirit of curiosity and discovery that lies at the heart of STARMUS.

Brian was also a professional musician and a member of the British bands Dare and D:Ream — another reminder of how closely science, music and creativity are connected.

Congratulations, Prof. Cox! 🌌

We are excited to share that you can now listen to the new Mongabay Newscast interview with the inaugural recipient of the Jane Goodall Earth Medal, Christiana Figueres, and STARMUS Festival co-founder Dr. Garik Israelian, hosted by Mike DiGirolamo. ✨

Together, they discuss the significance of the Jane Goodall Earth Medal, the story behind its creation, the future of science communication, and the challenges of living in an age of misinformation and disinformation. 🌍

Dr. Jane Goodall took part in STARMUS Special – La Palma and STARMUS VII in Slovakia. At STARMUS VI, she was presented with the Stephen Hawking Medal for Science Communication, and at STARMUS VII, themed “The Future of Our Home Planet,” she gave the festival a “second life,” as Dr. Israelian describes in the conversation.

Reid Wiseman is joining us for STARMUS VIII ‘The Search for Truth’! 🚀

NASA astronaut and Artemis II Commander Reid Wiseman has spent his career pushing the boundaries of exploration — from flying as a U.S. Navy test pilot and captain to living and working aboard the International Space Station. ✨

During his 165-day mission aboard the ISS in 2014, Reid and his crewmates carried out more than 300 scientific experiments. He also completed two spacewalks, spending nearly 13 hours outside the station.

Selected as a NASA astronaut, Reid later served as Chief of the Astronaut Office and commanded Artemis II — a landmark mission that carried humans around the Moon as part of NASA’s return to human lunar exploration. 🌖

This October, he joins us in Tenerife to share the experience, science, and human perspective behind a life devoted to exploring beyond our world. 🌍

Welcome to STARMUS VIII, Commander Wiseman! ✨
